Casa Grinta B&B

We really enoyed our stay at Casa Grinta, and wished we had been able to stay another day or two. Our hosts were absolutely lovely - friendly and kind, and ensuring our stay was very comfortable. Our breakfast each morning was excellent, and we were welcomed to a very enjoyable impromptu aperitif on the marvellous terrace with our hosts.

We stayed at Casa Grinta for 2 days for a wedding in the local area and we couldn’t have been happier with our choice. The rooms and venue itself were extremely clean and equipped with everything that we needed. Luz couldn’t have done more to help with our stay, from arranging drinks on the beautiful terrace to helping us get home from the wedding we were at. I couldn’t recommend this venue, and host, any more.

We have spent 4 nights and mornings at the Casa Grinta B&B. Our first time in Umbria, but definitely not the last. And next time we wish to go the Casa Grinta again. Our host, Luz Delia Trujillo, made efforts out of the ordinary for us to have a pleasant stay. Good guidance to the lovely scenes of the town. The bedroom, the living room and the kitchen are equipped just perfectly - delicately and elegantly. Everything you need is there. It was hot, so the A/C was on, but also a fan for just comfort, when A/C was not needed. Breakfast was very nice, all you could eat and prepared very well. And the view from the kitchen/terrasse is stunning and worth the stay in itself. Wonderful experience!

A little complicated to get the car into town, due to the town festival week, but when in, you can park just outside the Casa Grinta.

I stayed at Casa Grinta after a wedding. We decided to stay in the city to enjoy its wonderful views and the cultural scene. We booked the place last minute but were pleasantly surprised with the beauty of the apartment and the terrace with an extraordinary view. Luz Delia, the owner and manager is also super helpful and makes you feel at home. 100% recommended.

View from the terrace is outstanding. Decoration of the restored house is tasteful. Breakfast excellent, at your choice.

Stairs are difficult for people with motion difficulties. Parking may also be a problem.

This delightful accommodation in the historic centre is the home of the owner - a lovely lady who speaks excellent English. The bedroom is very comfortable and stylish - we had everything we needed, and the quality was top notch. We also had access to the amazing large terrace, attached to her kitchen, overlooking the surrounding hills. A good selection of breakfast treats (pre ordered to avoid waste) was really welcome- enjoyed on the terrace. Lovely fresh fruit and yogurt and nuts; also the best bread around, which she carefully sources. We even had her homemade cake a couple of times. There is plenty of parking in and around the town but sometimes access is limited due to it being in the centre. We found it best to park a few minutes’ walk away (after unloading) to avoid difficulties. All in all, very comfortable and good value in a gorgeous Umbrian town.

The facility of a fridge in the room would be good, so we could have an aperitif on the terrace. However, the terrace is accessed through the owner’s kitchen and although we were invited to enjoy the terrace, clearly this is her living space - which we were happy to respect- so was by prior arrangement; and she provided the drink and snacks, at reasonable cost.
