VTZ El Balcón de Rey Alfonso II

we arrived december 30 at the apartment in calle alphonso, 1A. We found that the bedroom shutters were not working, and that a crank was missing to operate them. The temperature was too low, we tried to turn on the heating: impossible. heating on: impossible. The boiler did not respond to this request Wanting to take a shower: no hot water, and despite our attempts: still no hot water. In addition, the shower water flows very slowly... Last point: the cabinet door under the sink doesn't close so, as you can see, there are a number of problems. Having returned late last night, we only contacted the hotel this morning. We asked to take a photo, whereas the simplest and most respectful of guests, was to send someone to at least resolve the dysfunction. Two hours after our first call, no action has been taken. My friend asked to take a shower in the hotel after two hours of sport, and was refused! The rental price does not correspond to the services a customer has the right to expect. We were given a sheet of paper with a somewhat comminatory content, setting out our obligations, but nothing about those of the rental company in the event of malfunctions. I must add that my companion had to stay all morning waiting for a breakdown service that arrived at 1pm, and was still there at 2pm! , so our exploration of the city was greatly reduced! We demand that the rental company, at the very least, compensate us for the cold we have suffered, and that we be obliged to wash in cold water. At the very least, we demand that the rental company compensate us for the cold, the obligation to wash in cold water and to wake up at dawn.

Amazing location, lovely little apartment with everything we needed, and the staff were really helpful and easily accessible when we needed them.

We had a problem with the hot water but the staff were very quick and attentive with helping us resolve it. They managed to get a technician...even on a festival day. Couldn't fault the service. Thank you!

The location was perfect, very close to the centre.

Excellent location with walking distance to many wonderful attractions. The bed was very comfortable, had black out shades and really nice building that was quiet during the night even though it overlooks the tourist street zone.

It was a little challenging to figure out which flat we had so just make sure you clarify the flat number but that was a minor small inconvenience in the beginning of the stay. The shower head was hand held that we had to literally hand hold but also felt like just a little inconvenience considering the location and value for the money.

Great location. There was a free tour available in the morning (great tour guide!)

They provided us with two cots (great!), but one was broken (not so great). Had to give a 80€ deposit. Felt we had to take photos of all the things that were already a bit damaged in the apartment in case we got blamed for them later. Not a great way to relax after a long day travelling. The apartment was ok, but could do with some cosmetic touch-ups to make it feel worth the money and the deposit. The washing machine doesn’t have a tumble dryer. You have to collect keys from another hotel. Had to wedge bedroom door closed as doesn’t shut properly.

Phenomenal location.

Saturday night was noisy 3:30-5am.
