The environment

The see view

It was just as described. Location right by the sea with direct access to it. Room was spacious, clean and with comfortable bedding. Pool was clean and there were always staff available there to get you anything if asked. Staff were very attentive and responsive.

There wasn’t anything not to like. The AC in the standard room I booked was not performing at full blast but once I mentioned that to the front desk an apology was offered and I was immediately upgraded to another (deluxe I think) room.

Loved the rooftop view of ocean under the shade. The onshore breeze and sound of waves were very soothing. Loved being able to see the animals onsite, including sea turtles (highlight was the hatchlings release), horses, rabbits, birds, tortoises, ostriches, and monkeys. We also enjoyed the pools. We appreciated the work done to clean up the beach and rescue turtles. The staff were very friendly and accomodating. The resort has lots of carved pieces that add character.

Our TV didn't work--a loose connection that was fixed once, but continued to become loose. The bed was clean but the mattress was exceptionally firm.

The food was good, however all eating is outdoor. The internet worked well. There is a turtle hatchery onsite with great conservation efforts. The staff were helpful and attentive for the most part. When the water was working, it was nice and hot, but without much pressure.

The beds were very very hard. The AC unit was not adequate to cool down the room. We asked for a fan and the staff did bring us one. The bathroom has nowhere to put toiletries except the floor. Unbeknownst to us, the toilet was leaking through the night and flooded the bathroom and soaked everything on the floor. No hairdryer in the bathroom. The main pool near the rooms was dirty and slimy. Two other pools at the far end of the resort seemed to be cleaner, but too far away and all deck furniture was very old. The beaches were filthy with garbage. The price charged for an ocean view king bed room was $250 a night and not comparble in price to the quality.

Room provided a beautiful view of the ocean. Sea turtle experience was amazing!

Beaches were covered in litter. Bed was hard.
