Ailyak Stays and Cafe, Shoja, Jibhi

Easily one of my best stays in Himachal! The place is surrounded by stunning views—nature, a peaceful stream, and all the mountain magic. But what truly makes it special? The hosts. They treat you like family. Add to that the amazing food and warmth, and you’ve got the kind of stay that stays with you ❤️

There’s honestly nothing to dislike about this place. The only problem? Once you come here, you’ll definitely end up extending your trip. It’s just that good—peaceful vibes, amazing food, and the kind of comfort that makes it really hard to leave.

The backyard is the most beautiful part about the stay. The trail that leads to a brook is lush lush green. You'll end up sitting and contemplating life on a big boulder along the stream. Can take cold dip. What an amazing location of the property. Even the abandoned house near Ailyak seems alive (I have attached photo :P). Property is nestled in the lush green mix forest of Quercus (banj), Rai, Tosh, khanor and walnuts. You will hear birds chirping in and around almost all the time

Just flagging the garbage junk near property, that can infiltrate soil and streams ultimately. I'm sure something can be done about that.

One of the best hostels I've stayed in, very friendly hosts and it's in a really nice location with good trekking options nearby. The food is also amazing, and they had a fire going in the evening to keep us warm!

Everything, the staff , rooms , food , outside view, and mostly the nature of the owners especially Yashasvi and Abhishek bhaiya .

I stayed at Ailyak Shoja as a solo female traveller, and it genuinely felt like one of the safest and most comforting mountain stays I’ve experienced. From the moment I arrived, the hosts made sure I felt at ease never intrusive, always present when needed. As a woman travelling alone, that balance matters a lot, and they gets it right. The property feels secure, respectful, and grounded in care. Being a riverside stay, electricity can be a little erratic, but what stood out was how thoughtfully this was handled. A light inverter backup was available, and they even provided a power bank something I’ve rarely seen hosts proactively offer. It showed how much they actually think about guest comfort rather than just mentioning “power cuts” as a disclaimer. The views are calming and beautiful with lush greens, the sound of the river, and a sense of slowing down that’s hard to find elsewhere. Mornings felt peaceful, and evenings were cozy rather than isolating. The food deserves a special mention which are simple, fresh, and made with care. It felt nourishing, especially after long walks or just quiet days spent doing nothing.
