S 2 Modern Boutique Hotel

Very friendly staff, good restaurant attracted to the hotel and clean rooms.

The facilities were poor. There is a gym area which has no a/c and very little working equipment. And the pool area is downstairs in the hotel, almost at street level.

overall, hotel itself was very good

it was a bit remote from the centre and was pricy for that location. It was just a bit pricy for Vientiane.

The staff were really nice and always to help. The hotel has a cafeteria which is quite convenient as you can grab a quick bite before going to bed. The room is a descent size and clean.

I didn’t get hot water while trying to shower, neither at night or the following morning.

The hotel looked quite cool and modern in the photos whereas when we got there, it seemed like an average, middle-range hotel lobby. Everything was clean and comfortable. There is a shuttle van that you can sign up for, I think it goes at 6pm and 7pm. There is a small, well equipped gym behind the lobby.

As most people have said, the location is pretty far away from the main area for restaurants and attractions. Breakfast was fine, but not exciting. Limited options for vegetarians.

The hotel bar and breakfast (for a fee) is very good

The shower mixer was not working and still not after 3 days despite the requests. Apparently they know the problem and their mixer does not work well. It’s very disappointing. In addition, when you ask or drop off the van that you reserve for them to go to Vang Vieng they answer: in front of your hotel and it’s wrong.
