A TOMO MAI

Very pleasant house stay with a very sweet couple. You get a big room with tv, bathroom, fridge and terrace all to yourself. Shared kitchen and the owners are very accommodating and helpful. Good value for money!

Gerald and his wife Ina were lovely. They were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Comfortable bed, Aircon and good WiFi connection. There is a fridge on the patio area and Gerald kindly let me use the microwave. It's about a 45 minute walk (depending on how fast you walk, the road is flat) into town but you'll be walking on the road as there is no footpath so make sure you walk facing the traffic. To get around the whole island you need transport as parts of it are hilly. Gerald sent me a list of several car hire companies and I booked with Raiatea Renault and I found them very friendly and helpful and I had no problems with the car. When driving from the airport to A Tomo Mai it's between PK 3 and PK 4 km markers. You go over a cream coloured bridge (picture below) then past a shop Sup Tepua on RHS, then past I'Ora restaurant on LHS. After crossing the 2nd cream coloured bridge slow down and look for the sign on LHS for A Tomo Mai (picture below)

Wonderful stay, the hosts are extremely nice and welcoming. The room is cozy, spacious and clean and has a lovely terrace space outside. The location is also very good. I had a wonderful stay, hopefully will be back soon 🙌

the room was as described. Gerald tried to help with the questions related to sighseeing and taxis but they are very new and need to get more information.

In reality there is no beach. And accomodation is not walking distance to Uturoa center. You either book a taxi or rent a car to move around

The location was convenient. The room was lockable and the air conditioning made it more comfortable.

The local roosters started crowing at 3 am and continued through the morning.
