GBThe owner was very helpful and accommodating with respect to check-in/checkout times. He was also just a WhatsApp message away when we required some information re taxi numbers/restaurant options. The place was clean and functional. Easy access to the city. Great place to stay if you want to be among locals. Safe area. The place is very spacious and there are plenty of windows for ventilation.
PLWe had a very good communication with the host, who was very friendly and welcoming us in the property. Some delicious Sardinian cookies on arrival was really nice and unexpected :) The kitchen was very well equipped and in general the apartment is nicely and tastefully decorated.
There were a few things which could have gone better during our stay: - The cleanliness of the floor: We have been travelling with our 1 yo and after exploring the apartment for the first 10 minutes crawling his palms and knees have been almost black, same for our feet. This might not be a problem if you walk in the outdoor shoes in the apartment, however if you prefer not to, the floor was clearly not ready for it. As a matter of fact we had to mop the floor in the apartment 3 times to get it into passable (still not great) state. It really needs a deep clean and a better ongoing maintenance going forward. By the way this is not a general comment about the cleanliness of the apartment, the kitchen, bathroom amenities and beddings were all nice and clean, just the floor was a disappointment. - The dampness and mould: The apartment is located in the historical area in the old building with a limited access to sunlight and limited airflow. This means there is a lot of dampness and mould in the apartment which has not been treated properly. You can especially smell it in the bedroom (also the mattress) and the bathroom and see it in the shower cabin. Not great if you're allergic to mould and not good even if you're not as this can cause some respiratory diseases. - The lack of parking: The apartment is located in the pedestrian area and you need to look for a parking space in the nearby streets, but those are packed with cars. So finding a free slot might not only be time consuming (easily add extra 30 minutes to your commute if you are not a parking jenga master), but also cost you extra 8 EUR a day. This is not apartment's fault, but something to be aware of if you're coming by car.

ITLocation was great, the apartment is quite big with a nice kitchen and living room, a large bedroom and a beautiful bathroom that gives you access to a small outside area to sit and chat or smoke. Everything was clean and the host was very nice. He left us some water in the fridge as the temperatures were very high when we visited (so it was a very appreciated little touch). Plenty of towels which is always nice and a hairdryer.
The only thing, it was a bit weird to not have a curtain in the bedroom window that opens towards the little outside area, as there is someone else's window too.
GBIt's in a very good location for exploring the city. The owner is very friendly. Highly recommended.
USWe love Cagliari (best food in Italy) and this apartment is in the perfect location in the Villanova District of the historic center (old town). It is right below the Il Castello District and right next to the Marina District. You could not possibly get a better location for walking every inch of old Cagliari, exploring the many sites and eating in the fantastic restaurants of the four old-town districts. The apartment is located on a very pretty pedestrian street, and right across the street from street elevators that go up to Il Castello and the Bastione di Saint Remy. It is right next to the Marina District and the many great restaurants there. This apartment will be far bigger than any hotel room in Cagliari (which tend to be small in Sardinia). It has a separate living room and kitchen that is completely isolated from the bedroom, and it is all very compact and cozy with plenty of room to spread out and unpack. It has a full-size sofa, table and a big nice new 4K TV on the wall in the living area. (I brought a Roku on this trip and streamed my US apps off of that TV). There is no TV in the bedroom. Good coffee maker. Fantastic super-fast Wifi - the fastest we have had in Sardinia at almost 400 Mbps (fiber). It has a nice kitchen, but there is no way I would ever cook in Cagliari. Too many great restaurants! There is a nice washing machine and small internal patio to dry your stuff. Alejandro (the owner of the apartment) is super-nice and very helpful. He of course knows the city and can recommend anything you need.
