Eagles Eco Lodge - Kandy

The man running the hotel is very nice, the food is good (and a lot) and the hotel is in a very nice location. From the inside the hotel looks a bit older, but that's fair for the price you pay.

The ramp to get to the car park can be a bit challenging if you're still getting used to a tuktuk, but I guess that's more my problem than that of the hotel...

Beautiful view from upper floors, clean and pleasant place, and friendly staff

Parking entrance is difficult to reach (narrow access road on steep hill). Also, although we booked a "family room with mountain view", there was no such option (upper floors with mountain view, had only double rooms)

A gorgeous hideaway on a hill where you can lookout onto the water and contemplate life. I had a very special stay here. The host was a beautiful and peaceful man who made my stay what it was. Wonderful meals and just a lovely place with all types of wildlife passing through to bask in the serenity.

Wunderbare niederländische Architektur, das Zimmer mit Blick über den See war sehr liebevoll und geschmackvoll ausgestattet mit Allem was man braucht, sogar eine Kerze und Streichhölzer und Kleiderbügel gab es. Liebe zum Detail und sehr großzügig. Man fühlt sich willkommen und als geschätzter Gast.

Der sehr nette Besitzer war leider nicht vor Ort sondern in Colombo. Er und seine Frau haben sich zwar rührend telefonisch um mich gekümmert aber in der Lodge war niemand der Englisch spricht.
