A casa di Nonna Mela

La struttura si trova in un condominio fatiscente, ma l’appartamento è ristrutturato con cura. È comodissimo per raggiungere il centro, il porto e la spiaggetta di Porto Empedocle a piedi. La Signora Concetta è stata impeccabile. Sempre a disposizione e di una gentilezza estrema. Ci ha aspettati in casa con 3 cannoli fatti riempire appositamente per noi. Davanti al condominio c’è uno spazio utile per parcheggiare.

In casa non prende il segnale del telefono. Da quello che ho capito, è un problema diffuso in Porto Empedocle. Il b&b gode comunque di una connessione Wi-Fi, ma se si aspetta una telefonata occorre aspettare o parlare dal balcone.

It was a convenient location opposite the port and beach. The apartment itself was super authentic and comfy. Felt like our home for the week we were there. Plenty of space to relax and unwind. Kitchen was great to prepare breakfasts and lunches. The balcony overlooking the port I really enjoyed. It was about an hour walk along the beach to the Turkish steps along the beach. Grocery store and restaurants close by. And a beach bar across the road. Concetta was a fabulous host and met us at the property to show us around, and even provided us some beautiful fresh traditional canoli on arrival. Very much enjoyed our stay.

Central location in Porto Empedocle, with plenty of parking availability, and closer to the city main square where there are some good restaurants. Apartment space is excellent, well furnished with everything that you need for a comfortable stay. A/C in most of the rooms. The owner of the apartment is very nice and attentive. She welcomed us with cannoli, which was a nice gesture and much appreciated for a welcome. The owner went to the extra mile when we had a minor issue during our stay. Overall, a great place in the heart of Porto Empedocle, and a stay that we will certainly replicate. Thank you very much for having us.

Nothing to dislike. Porto Empedocle is an interesting little town, a strategic place to get to the attractions around the Agrigento area such as the Valley of the Temples or the Scalinata dei Turchi. The city is very much industrial, but the city centre and main square are nice and there are several beaches around the place.

We visited this little town in november - this is really not the time to stay here. It was very quiet everywhere and closed down.

Very close to the place is some kind of industry and the main road is passing by right in front of the house.

The parking lot is free and just outside of the apartment. The place we stayed is decorated in a cosy way. The host is very friendly and helpful.

Great location, a minute walk from the center of an adorable town, and 30 min walk on the beach to Turkish steps, few minute drive from The Valley of the temples, very friendly and welcoming owner, enough space (with everything you can need) for us and our 3 little kids. Would recommend!
