It was beautiful, extremely comfortable, warm and lively decorations and our host was extremely kind and gracious!

We loved everything!

Location suitable for us.

No space on surfaces in the kitchen to prepare food and hardly any cupboard space. Tables set up for dining but this was a hindrance rather than a help. We only had breakfast and lunch there but it was pretty irritating. Sofa was possibly the most uncomfortable thing I have ever sat on.

Good house overall

Nice big rooms, bedroom 3 was small but the bed was really comfy. The garden was lovely, sat there with a coffee in the morning listening to the birds chirping away. The kitchen had plenty of room and the dining table was laid out better than some restaurants we have visited, well done for that. Plenty of communication and any questions were answered very quickly.

The only thing we could fault was it was that hot, we wanted to sit in the garden, but there was no patio umbrella. (although there was a base) A bigger patio table could probably be helpful. It would probably be wise for the owners to re-grout the bathroom floor as any water ingress through the tiles could be costly.

The location is quiet and safe. Easy to park and quick to travel to other areas

There are a few weird quirks to the house. All the light switches are in the wrong place so you have to walk into a dark room to find the switch behind the door. The shower is in the wrong place - the wrong wall but also tucked into the corner. With the shower screen on the wrong side it means the bathroom floor is soaking wet very quickly. The dining room table is set up for a dinner party and I’m sure this looks great for photos but practically it’s unnecessary. It means the cupboards and drawers are almost empty of things you need and it’s not clear how long the plates / cutlery and glasses have been out, gathering dust. We weren’t sure if we were meant to use it or not. The sponges for washing up are old and pretty disgusting. The beds are comfortable enough but the pillows and sheets are really cheap. They need an update. The sofas are tiny and hard when you sit on them. Everything feels like it needs a refresh with some quality bedding, towels and blackout blinds (the curtains let in lots of light as they’re badly fitted).
