EIRA Fjord Stay with firepit and optional panoramic Sauna Rental from June 2026

The apartment is very nicely decorated, functional and cozy. There is everything you need for cooking your own meals, washing clothes, resting. There is also a big tv and a sofa to enjoy movies etc, if the weather is not that nice for outdoor activities. Excellent skiing mountains nearby and all the services of Tromsø (for exemple a great swimming hall and excellent indoor bouldering facilities) just a short drive away. The host family made us feel really warmly welcome - thank you.

The closeness of the main road creates a little feeling of restlessness. You can not hear the voices from the upper apartment to the basement apartment, but the sound of steps you are able to hear.

The apartment was extremely clean with clear instructions. Susann was very helpful and responsive with our questions and was such a lovely host! We had an amazing time at the accommodation which can easily be reached by bus as well from Tromsø.

It was indeed a unique experience. The apartment super cozy, clean and comfortable. It had everything we needed. The experience with this place is magical. We watched the northern lights from the frozen fjord, did ice fishing, spent cozy evenings in a fireplace literally by the fjord, did snowshoeing. We even rented the snowmobile and had so much fun riding it on the fjord. Susann and Jørgen are the sweetest people, we felt like we were not tourists but their welcomed guests. I would definitely visit this place again!

Everything was above our expectations and had the most wonderful time. The ice fishing experience was great and our hosts were really welcoming, making us feel like home. We would really love to come back!

Susann ans Jørgen are amazing people! The place is comfortable and cozy and it's located in a beautiful fjord close to the city. Our stay here was simply perfect: warm, well equipped, cozy and clean, so we had everything needed. We also had a fireplace next to the lake which is huge bonus, and the possibility to go ice fishing or using the snowmobile if we wanted. If your plan is to rent a car and to visit the amazing nature around Tromsø, this is the most convenient place for that.

We had the most incredible experience and would recommend this place to anyone and everyone!! Firstly Susan and jorgen were the kindest and most accommodating hosts we have ever had. Their communication before and during our stay was amazing and they were so generous with their time and offerings. They really did go above and beyond and were so helpful even after our stay ended and we got stuck in Tromso due to bad weather. Secondly the place is the perfect getaway which gives you access to the beauty of the fjord and the mountain surroundings while also being close to the city for activities. We loved waking up to the beautiful snow covered surroundings, sitting down by the fire and even managed to see the northern lights on the drive from the city to the house! Even when we had bad weather days and our activities were cancelled, we were still able to enjoy being outside which we were grateful for. Inside the place is beautifully decorated, cozy and clean. It is well equipped with everything you need, from making a morning coffee to cooking meals as well as being able to relax and unwind with board games or a movie. We would recommend hiring a car to allow you to properly experience the beauty of the area and access the city with ease.

Absolutely nothing!

This is a very interesting proposition for active people. First of all, the property has a wonderful owner, Susan, who will answer all your questions about Tromso and the surrounding area and will also offer you homemade cookies :) Secondly, you have at your disposal the downstairs of the house where Susan and her family live: two bedrooms, a large bathroom and a living room connected to the kitchen. (there is also a large TV with Netflix, YouTube, etc.). Thirdly, everything is clean and fragrant, the kitchen is equipped with everything you need, including spices, and the bathroom has a washing machine, dryer, bathrobes, towels, soaps, etc. Fourthly - the most important - from the house you can go down the slope to the shore of the fjord. There is a place for a bonfire, comfortable armchairs, and the hosts put reindeer skins on them to keep them warm. There is a grate over the fire, we fried fish twice - they turned out great. From this place there is a beautiful view of the fjord and we saw the aurora borealis on the second day. Other important things: you can park your car in the owners' yard, you can take snowshoes on trips, firewood is included in the price and prepared, you don't have to buy it. It is better to have a car as the apartment is located 15 minutes from Tromso by car (there is a bus stop but we have not use the bus). Also with the car you can go to many beatifull places around Tromso (our favourite was island Kvaloya).

Road is close to the house. Although in whole Tromso area outside the city, homes are located mostly close to the roads (i guess because of rocky mountains around).

The accommodation is definitely a 10/10, everything is very clean and comfortable. The car can be conveniently parked in front of the house and therefore it is not necessary to carry it far. The landlords (Susann and Jørgen) are more than just friendly and absolutely accommodating. whether it's tips for the northern lights or anything else, they are always there to help. and since I really wanted to take an ice bath, Susann took the time to accompany me and even lent me her neoprene gloves and shoes, in keeping with the motto everything for the guests. All of this makes the accommodation exceptional and I can only recommend driving the few kilometers out of Tromso and getting to know Susann, Jørgen and the accommodation.
