Location was excellent with the property in central Ballater within a short walk of shops, restaurants, golf and all that Ballater has to office. Facilities in the house were first class with 4 good size double bedrooms and three bathrooms. Kitchen/ living room was on open plan with good size island for dining. The log burning stove was great and well used during the cold spell when we stayed.

Liked all of it. We had one problem with a radiator that wouldn't heat up, but alternative electric heaters were available and with the log burning stove the house was always very cosy.

Perfect location, comfy beds, lovely fire. Had everything you need. Hosts very quick to answer your questions. Parking no problem and a great garden for the dog.

Lewis Lodge is a beautiful, welcoming and relaxing place to stay. immaculate condition, the owners had all the essentials for guests available & a high attention to detail. It was a lovely touch having the christmas tree up on arrival too. It added to the cozy & warm atmosphere in the lodge.

Luxurious & comfortable home in a great location.

Everything about our stay was perfect from start to finish! The host (Ilanna) was incredibly communicative from the offset and had even gone to the trouble of making a very helpful information booklet which was beautifully presented in the kitchen on our arrival. The property is set in the beautiful village of Ballater, a stone's throw away from some stunning walking routes, and with all the amenities you could wish for on your doorstep. As you can probably tell from the pictures - the interior of the house is absolutely gorgeous. Our time there was idyllic - we ventured out into the village during the day and then fell asleep to the crackling of the fire in our bedroom (!) - on the softest sheets and fluffiest pillows - at night. I would HIGHLY recommend Lewis Lodge to anyone looking for an overnight stay in Ballater.

The only downside is that you will never want to leave!

My stay at Lewis Lodge was fabulous. What a lovely house fully equipped with all mod cons with a very rustic traditional Scottish ambiance. In Royal Deeside, minutes from Balmoral Castle (worth a visit) Ballater is a lovely bustling town with so much to offer. The property has such a lovely atmosphere. Firstly the unexpected welcome pack in the fridge was lovely! There is a wonderful fully equipped modern kitchen with large central island to seat 8 easily to dine, all open plan leading to the cosy sofa area with wood burning fire (easy to light up) to relax for the evening. The bedrooms were amazing, super king beds in three rooms and king in fourth room, mattresses were extremely comfortable with bed linen of the highest quality, smart tv’s in each room and beautiful decor. Three lovely bathrooms, one en suite downstairs. I had two dogs with me and the back sun room and garden was perfect for them, completely enclosed and secure. Walks and scenery around are fantastic. I ordered a meal from the Lochnagar Indian Brasserie for dinner and it was one of the best I’ve had, and on the same street a minutes walk away to collect! There is so much more just minutes walk to town centre. I will definitely book Lewis Lodge next year, just loved everything about it!

I've been touring Scotland for almost twenty years now and this is by far the best private accomodation I had. Position, comfort, cleanness and above all the kindness of the owners were one of a kind. HUGELY RECOMMENDED!
