Beds were comfy and bedding clean

We are disappointed - we arrived and straight away the smell in the kitchen was really pungent - I cleaned the sink area but it didn’t make any difference- we couldn’t use the kitchen or cook in it- everything was dirty and felt greasy- we boiled the kettle and made one hot drink but we were unable to use anything else due to the poor level of hygiene - the dining table was filthy and sticky- this was not value for money- the cleaners were in the day before apparently but had not cleaned the cobwebs, there was dust everywhere around the edges of the carpets upstairs- and inside kitchen cupboards with a dirty air vent? All in all, a really disappointing stay- contacted the host prior to leaving this review- they only discussed about getting the cleaners in to sort this- when you pay £260 a night very disappointing not value for money.
