Chapel Street 42B First floor 1-bedroom apartment, Aberdeen city center

Centrally located (just off Union Street), the apartment was clean and spacious, and I was very grateful that even though I arrived late (after 9pm), the heating had very thoughtfully been switched on for me. The flat was well-equipped with good quality products, and I enjoyed my stay. I also thought the price was very fair. Thank you!

Location is very central. Just off Union Street. Bakery next door, and everything very close, restaurants, takeaway places, supermarkets etc. Great powerful shower, nice kitchen. Good heating, so no problem getting the apartment warm. (Light of Bengal Indian Restaurant on next Street up Rose Street was superb).

Damp towels on arrival, which wasn't good as we were going straight out after travelling there and check-in to meet family. Half eaten food left in fridge and fridge wasn't clean. Sink in bathroom was blocked, we unblocked ourselves and pulled out loads of gunk to get it to drain. One lamp in bedroom didn't work. Only 1 teaspoon in apartment. No home comforts such as lamps in lounge or any rugs/carpeting. Washing machine was stuffed full of dirty washing. Broken blind in lounge. Apartment could have been cleaner and is in general need of a bit of TLC. Bedroom is small so very difficult to navigate past bed to go to other side if there's two of you as space is very small and a TV on wall at your back. Have stayed in a few apartments now in Aberdeen when back home visiting family, unfortunately this would score the lowest which is a shame because it wouldn't take much to bring it up to a good standard in such a great location.

Location and communication with host excellent, bathroom and shower was great. With a little TLC could be an excellent place to stay. Car parking was a bonus.

Needs regular maintenance and attention to detail, for example the extractor hood nearly came off in our hands,and there were laundry already packed in the washing machine so it's a good job we didn't require to use it. There are 3 bins in the kitchen but no definition on what needs to go where. Key to back door sticks and it's hard to open. Boiler was noisy at night and it wasn't clear how to change temperature or turn off.
