The room was too hot. Tried to lower the ac but it would not adjust to a lower temperature

Holiday Inn Express Hotels represent a good value- the cleanliness was spot-on, in a good location, with friendly staff. The value of the room was good, bedding was comfortable, bathroom amenities were fantastic with a new tub, shower, sink and mirror.

Why advertise ‘Free-WiFi’ when the Smart-TV has been ‘dumbed-down’ and the WiFi doesn’t work? The night staff was clueless and day staff admitted there was no-WiFi in the Hotel. The breakfast was Cold Cereal (community gallon of milk in a fridge) Powdered-re-Constituted Eggs & Sausage Patties and an automated Pancake Machine. McDonald’s Breakfast is better! Just 6 miles up the Highway is Saint Joseph Holiday Inn Express has a Beach View, has WiFi, has an ACTUAL Restaurant and we stopped in for their breakfast and it was AMAZING! HOWEVER- Saint Joseph Holiday Inn Express was booked up for months, Stephensville Holiday Inn Express is the overflow Inn

No coffee maker in room? Breakfast was a mess. The cook did not show up. Juice machine empty. No butter, no yogurts. A pancake machine but no batter. Many things empty or missing. Told the truck didn’t show up.

hotel was very clean and staff was great good location off the hwy but we had a room facing the hwy and it was noisy couldnt sleep very well but im a very light sleeper.the rooms were great and the pool was nice but a bit small if hwy noise effects your sleep request a room away from the hwy

The property was clean and well laid out. Breakfast was okay but could have had more non-dairy and gluten-free options. An incident occurred at the hotel where my husband was using the laundry facilities and it set the fire alarm off. When he went to retrieve the clothes, there was steam or smoke coming from the dryer and that set off the fire alarms in the hotel. It was around midnight so it was quite the ordeal where the fire department had to come and shut off the alarms, during which time the piercingly loud alarm woke up most of the hotel guests. The fire department said the dryer was broken and my husband was blamed by the front desk for overfilling the dryer and causing the issue. We have washed our clothes a few times at other hotels on this trip and never had a problem. She was reluctant to help my husband with anything after this which left us with a negative experience.

The customer service was excellent. Friendly and easy going.

First, the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful when we were trying to get our accessible room. The hotel is new and the facilities are clean and modern. The breakfast was terrific. Overall, this hotel is a great value and is close to many things to do in St. Joseph and Benton Harbor.
