Easy to find with great access to the co op live

No shower curtain or divider so we couldn’t shower properly. Also it could do with the bathroom sink tap being replaced. Other than that, the place was wonderful.

The property was very reasonably priced and in a great location – about a 20-minute walk or a quick 5-minute taxi to the stadium. Check-in was simple with the key safe, and the host was really attentive, messaging both before and on the day of arrival, which was reassuring. There’s a convenience store just at the end of the street, and the house itself was clean and tidy on arrival. Complimentary tea and coffee were a nice touch, and the kitchen had everything needed for cooking. The two bedrooms were quite spacious, with plenty of plug sockets, and the beds were comfortable and warm. Heating worked well once switched on and warmed up quickly. The area was quiet at night, and there are lots of takeaway delivery options nearby, which made things very convenient.

The immediate area felt a little run-down, and parking is roadside with a permit kindly arranged by the host. Décor is basic and could do with a little TLC, and the mirrors in the bedrooms weren’t very useful. In the bathroom, the tap splutters and prays out of the sink, the door doesn’t have a lock, and the shower is over the bath but without a curtain or screen, so water tends to spill out. The hot water supply wasn’t consistent, and there’s no extractor fan. The sofa in the living room was very uncomfortable, quite unstable, and not suitable for sleeping, plus there wasn’t enough seating space if five people were staying. When we first arrived, the house was very cold as the heating hadn’t been put on in advance and each radiator needed turning on. There is a TV in the living room, but no channels were tuned in.

It’s was alright for one night, free parking was a plus and the place was not far from the city center

Clean. Little noise or disrurbance. Ice in freezer. Towels clean. Close to centre, by taxi, 2 miles.

Be aware there is only 1 double room. 1 double bed room plus single bed. 1 small single and single sofa bed- Decor cheap, carpet etc, everything just painted white gloss etc. Area bit scruffy, would not want to be there long. You need taxi to centre, though cheap enough. Parking is on street. You will understand why there is no picture of front of house if you visit.
