Acorns with own hot tub, romantic escape, close to Lyme Regis

Great location, Joy was a Fantastic Host, The property has everything you could need!

Joy has created something very rare in our experience - a very clean, spacious, thoughtfully well equipped and decorated apartment that deserves its reputation as a wonderful place to stay! Everything you could need is provided with clear instructions. If there is something unusual needed, just ask Joy and she does her best to deliver ....a luggage scale and tape measure in our case. Comfy bed, great bathroom with good shower and lovely bath. Spa/hot tub is spotlessly clean and delightful. Thank you 😊

Joy introduced herself as soon as we arrived and expertly showed us around this lovely property. We came to Acorns to celebrate our wedding anniversary and it met every expectation. The apartment and particularly the kitchen, is extremely well equipped with every modern gadget you can imagine. There is a pod coffee machine, instant hot water tap, excellent microwave and oven, large fridge freezer and so much more in the copious amount of cupboard space. The living areas are beautifully furnished and shows that Joy has applied a lot of thought and love into presenting this property to her guests. There are tv's in most rooms, if you feel the need. The conservatory is where we spent most of the time (when not in the hot tub) which is light, airy and very relaxing. It has a body hugging couch and a good sized dining table. The bedroom has a very comfortable bed and great wardrobe space. The main attraction was the hot tub. It was such a relaxing and stress relieving experience for a hot tub newby like myself. Bubbles not only in the tub, but in the (plastic) glasses as well, seems to do the trick.... We took the walk from the property through Yawl to Uplyme, then picked up the river walk into Lyme Regis, which was a good two hours but all downhill and (in the lovely weather we had) a great way to build up a thirst and an appetite. Just a 200 yard walk from the gates of Hedgehog Corner is the Hunters Lodge Inn. We walked up the road to the pub on the Friday night to grab a couple of drinks and something to eat. This pub 'is what it is', it has a good selection of drinks and the food on offer was traditional pub fare. The only very minor criticism I would give, is the location. Joy did explain the dangers of walking along the road outside the property, it is dangerous. Also, it is two miles from Uplyme and any local facilities. That aside, it did not detract from a lovely weekend, in a lovely property.

The apartment is beautifully furnished and spacious. It has everything you could possibly wish for. The hot tub is fantastic and there are doors leading directly from the bedroom to it. The bathroom has a slipper bath and a large, separate rainfall shower. The bed is extremely comfortable and there is plenty of storage, including a plastic box for hot tub towels and slippers. Dressing gowns are provided. There is a small patio leading off the kitchen and a huge, sunny conservatory. On arrival at the apartment, we used a code to drive through the gate and Joy met us with the keys to the apartment and showed us around.

We couldn't fault it.

We loved it all! Joy was so welcoming and it was a lovely space to have to ourselves for the weekend. Couldn’t have asked for anything more!

Property was welcoming, spacious, clean and relaxing. No matter what the weather, this is the place to stay :-) The hot tub is a bonus! Great welcome and tour from Joy. *****

As we are non smokers, the ONLY thing there was an ashtray left on the table outside with ash still in it and also on the table.

A very relaxing weekend break, lots of nice little extras. Hot tub was very appreciated. Had a lovely time.

We have no complaints.

The accommodation was delightful, comfortable and spotless. Everything worked and there were clear instructions wherever needed. All fixtures and fittings were of good quality. Many little extras are provided. The host was friendly, welcoming and helpful. The hot tub was a great added bonus. Situated in a lovely wooded garden.

The bed was a little small for us (we are used to a superking size)
