Central Skyroom - Sauna, Family-Friendly & City Skyline Views

Precise check-in: The check-in instructions were extremely precise, so we found the keys and entered the apartment without any problems. Great hospitality: We arrived in Helsinki from Joensuu around 11:00 AM. Although the official check-in was at 4:00 PM, the host kindly messaged us that the apartment was ready 2 hours earlier, around 2:00 PM. Even though we ended up checking in after 6:00 PM because we were busy in the city, it was a very nice and appreciated gesture! Perfect for a family: The apartment itself is clean, tidy, very spacious, and absolutely perfect for a family of four. Everyone had their own comfortable sleeping spot, and there was so much space that it felt like everyone had their own private area. Rooftop balcony and AC: The apartment is located on the top (7th) floor with a spacious balcony offering great views of Helsinki's rooftops and even a small glimpse of the sea. Since it's right under the roof, the apartment heats up quickly in the summer, but it can be aired out fast, and there is an air conditioner (AC) available. Sauna and amenities: There is a private sauna inside, which will definitely be a huge plus for many guests. However, we didn't use the sauna or the balcony because we were exhausted after walking around the city and everyone just went straight to sleep after checking in! 🙂 Amazing location: The location is amazing — right in the city center, so we could easily walk everywhere on foot. Highly recommended: We would like to express our gratitude to the host! We highly recommend this apartment to everyone and would absolutely love to stay here again in the future.

Missing cutlery: The only minor thing inside was that we couldn't find the cutlery (spoons and forks). There were plenty of plates, cups, tea, and coffee, but the cutlery remained a mystery to us. It wasn't a big deal at all, though. Safety notes for small children: If you travel with small kids, you need to be extra careful. On the balcony, the sofa stands very close to the windows, which requires strict supervision when they are open. Also, the sauna is very small, and the heater with hot stones is built flush into the step/floor without any protective railing, so it is right under your feet. It's better to supervise children tightly or avoid using the sauna with them altogether.

Die Wohnung ist komfortabel ausgestattet, bietet ausreichend Platz für eine vierköpfige Familie und es ist alles da, was man braucht. Wir haben uns über die kleine Sauna gefreut, die einwandfrei funktioniert und in der man sich nach einem kalten Wintertag schön aufwärmen konnte. Überrascht hat uns das kleine Schlafzimmer unter der Dachschräge, da es keine Fenster hat, das war uns auf den Fotos nicht so klar ersichtlich. Man kann aber dennoch sehr gut darin schlafen! Leider ist in der ersten Nacht aufgrund eines Sturmes das defekte Fenster in der Küche herausgefallen, so daß es eiskalt wurde und wir improvisieren mussten, um es zu schließen. Die Vermieterin war aber auch in der Nacht zu erreichen und hat alles ihr mögliche getan, um das Unglück (trotz der Feiertage) rasch zu beheben. Die Kommunikation war jederzeit einwandfrei. Die Lage des Appartements ist hervorragend, man kann Helsinki prima zu Fuß erkundigen. Wir können es sehr empfehlen!

Great apt in a very central location. Comfortable, big, clean, with all necessary amenities. Well equipped kitchen, with a coffee maker, coffee and tea. A sauna we never used, so cannot judge, and a terrace with a beautiful view.

One of the bedrooms is small, without windows and under the roof with a steep ceiling, but ok for a few days.

Hyvä sijainti, kävellen ja ratikalla pääsee helposti mihin vaan. Helppo saapua majoitukseen julkisilla tai autolla, edullinen parkkis sisäpihalla. Siisti kattohuoneisto, kaikki tarvittava löytyy. Lasitettu parveke oli todella kiva.

The location, the view, the sauna!

The second room wasn't ideal for older children and teens, not spacious and low ceilings. The second bed and sofa bed weren't comfortable.
