Sundaze Riverside House - Colchester - 5km from Elephant Park

Friendly staff, beautiful location, very spacious with ample lounge and entertainment areas. Massive kitchen with both electric and gas stoves, as well as, a dishwasher and a washing machine. Ample parking space plus lovely views of the river and surroundings.

I believe other guests would benefit from having a mirror in each room; A full length mirror on the wall adjacent to "Room 1" would also be a lovely and practical addition; A ceiling extractor in the shared bathroom is necessary as the windows open up into a cavity, thus doesn't allow for adequate ventilation; Thick bleach in the drains would also help with mold odour in the bathroom. Overall, it's such a massive lovely home just in need of a few tweaks here and there to maximize comfort and enjoyment of the guests.

I loved the space of the house and it being right on the river, including the pool table, ping pong table and dart board for the kids

the only thing that would have made it even better is if there was a non stick frying pan in the kitchen and some sun loungers by the pool

The place wasn't cleaned properly. The swimming pool was dirty and cracked - no discount. The beds are hard, especially in the "kids" corner. Room nr 2 & 3 was too soft, and nobody enjoyed sleeping. There are not enough beds for 12 people, especially when everyone is not sleeping together.They accuse their clients of stealing just in order not to pay the full amount of the damage fee back.

Great location.

We were given the wrong keys and had to call for help. Nothing was mentioned about large deposit till after booking done.
