Double queen room 6 minutes walk to Penn station NYC EWR

The host is kind and quick to respond. Location: Conveniently located near the nearest station. The nearby Indian restaurant is cheap and delicious.

The room faced the street, so it was noisy outside until late at night. The room temperature was lower than the other rooms, but the host added an extra heater, which solved the problem.

Let’s start with the fact that the area might be close to public transport, but it’s terrible and scary,unsafe. Of course, this could still be overlooked if the accommodation itself weren’t a complete disaster. I have never stayed in such a horrible place before. It already smelled bad in the staircase, and inside the accommodation it was even worse. I didn’t want to touch anything because everything was so disgusting. Everything was filthy, and I’m surprised I didn’t throw up. The drawers were moldy, and the floor and walls were dirty. The kitchen was greasy and grimy, and in the common room not a single piece of furniture was intact. Almost every chair was broken. In the room, the plug near the bed didn’t even work. We found hair in the bed, and that’s when we decided we definitely wouldn’t sleep there. So, completely exhausted, at 1 a.m. we had to move to another place. Not to mention that the few photos shared on the website have absolutely nothing to do with reality and don’t reflect how awful this place really is. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone who cares about hygiene and safety.

I almost slept on the street because the host could not provide the keys to let me inside the building. Fortunately another tenant entered the building and allowed me to get inside.

No one was there to give us our room

The host didn't share any detail to check in and was un-responsive when I tried calling him. Definitely skip this host if possible
