White Hill Lodge - rustic cabin set in a stunning meadow

The setting , in a large meadow surrounded by mature trees was idyllic….you are really immersed in nature . We were the only people staying so it was quiet. We ate outside, had a swing, used the hammock and enjoyed strolls watching the Butterflies… The welcome pack was lovely. Communication with the owner was good and the entry instructions were easy to follow. The house is lovely with bifold doors opening into the meadow. We were going to use the pool but there was a thunderstorm promised and it rained …!

De locatie was perfect! Midden in het groen en toch maar 5 minuten lopen naar het station waar je met de trein in 35 minuten in hartje Londen was. Een betere locatie kun je niet treffen.

Het onderhoud van het huis! Veel dingen kapot of verouderd zoals een stoel en een lekkage in de gootsteen. Ook de schoonmaak kan wat beter. Er staat bij dat er een laadpaal is maar dat is zo onpraktisch (je moet ieder uur een muntje erbij stoppen) dat wij dit niet gebruikt hebben.

Beautiful surrounding, beautiful wooden house with everything we need it. 5-10 mins away from the village. Great for detox.

We liked everything and planning to return one day again.

Very easy to access the key to the property.

The property was great, it was a little tricky to find as we arrived in the dark and the entrance from the main road is very narrow

A sign at the end of the bridal way entrance would be helpfull

It’s a great location opposite the train station and walking distance to the village Cute and compact lodge Beautiful setting with trees and Christmas lights Well set up kitchen Provided great information and very responsive

It was a bit tight for 5 adults but we made it work

Idyllic Location was excellent for walks and lovely local pubs and restaurants Picturesque lodge on beautiful land Great location and excellent amenities for children in the garden Dog friendly Heated pool was a huge bonus with the children, who were able to use the pool on a chilly November weekend Beautiful cottage-feel inside lodge Clean and comfortable Wish we could move in!

The only downside, although similar rulings at other properties is being unable to let dog off lead in meadow as it is shared with another property.

Set in a charming off-grid sort of location, although it is only a walk away from the train station.

I believe a washer-dryer would be very useful.
