ARCONA - Übernachten auf dem Wasser - direkt am Bontekai

Bed very small. Our room on the lower deck. We had to carry 2 large luggages weighing 20kg each down a flight of very very very steep staircase (see pic). We are also the only occupants on the whole lower deck. Upper deck also very few guests. There's no kettle in the room. We've to go to upper deck, walk through some dark corridors (at night, there's no staff around and the corridors lights are off. Although we can switch it but it's quite scary especially when the whole ship is quite "empty with people"), to go to the shared pantry. There's no cup there to make coffee. We have to walk back to the reception and borrow the cup from there where they sold those coffee. There's a small sink in the room but the tap only have cold water (imagine washing your hands etc during freezing winter). Although they've separate bathroom for male and female, they're side by side and you can't lock the door from inside. Inside the female bathroom, each cubicle is just separated by a curtain. Imagine if any guy were to "mistakenly enter" the female bathroom and pull open the curtain (since there's no door or lock and no staff at night). There is also a big opening at the wall separating the male and female toilets which someone can easily peek from the male toilet. Generally, I don't feel safe bathing there. The ship is also quite a distance from the hbf. The room is also very stuffy. Not sure why some guests say it's a good experience. Luckily we only stayed for 1N as we are visiting the marine museum. My sons say they definitely doesn't like the experience. As such, I don't recommend especially if you're ladies or family with young kids.

Es war spannend, einmal auf dem Wasser zu übernachten – wirklich eine besondere Erfahrung! Die Lage war sehr gut und das Schiff hatte seinen eigenen Charme. Das Personal war in Ordnung, insgesamt ein schönes Erlebnis.

Die Idee, auf dem Wasser zu übernachten, ist toll, allerdings sollte bei der Sauberkeit noch nachgebessert werden. Die Bettwäsche und Handtücher waren nicht ganz sauber, wodurch wir uns unwohl fühlten, und die Gemeinschaftsduschen wirkten etwas vernachlässigt. Auch der Kontakt zum Personal war schwierig, da selten jemand vor Ort war. Für eine Nacht war es okay, aber ein längerer Aufenthalt wäre unter diesen Bedingungen eher unangenehm.

Die Betten war sehr gut. Waschgelegenheit im Zimmer. Am Empfang sehr serviceorientiert und freundlich. Kaffeeautomat steht 24 h zur Verfügung. Natürlich gegen Entgelt, aber lecker. Weitere Getränke sind erhältlich. Die Lage ist top. Eine besondere, rustikale Übernachtungsmöglichkeit, die einfach Spass macht. Gerne wieder.
