Mista Ceningan's Beach Bungalows

Friendly owners and staff. The breakfast is fantastic—a big plus and of better quality than other properties within the same price range. The restaurant is also excellent, offering a wide range of great options. We also enjoyed the location, very relaxing and with a pretty ocean view,

Although the room was clean and well-decorated, being a wooden cottage, it can be a bit squeaky when you walk. We did not receive housekeeping during our stay, which was a bit unfortunate since we had requested it and were informed it was included. This may have been a misunderstanding or miscommunication with the staff. Additionally, we experienced a minor inconvenience when the hotel ran out of water for a night. They provided us with two large bottles of mineral water so we could still shower.

I love the look of the property, so beautiful and the staff were all very friendly. I spent my birthday here and they made me feel very special.

When we checked out we found that we had not paid upfront when we booked as we usually do. Apparently there have been other travellers had the same issue as the property is considered a cash property by booking.com. I felt if this was an ongoing problem then it should be made a bit clearer or maybe make people aware there had been some communication problems with payments when checking in instead of leaving it until people check out. (we had booked numerous properties for our trip with booking.com and just presumed we paid upfront like all our other bookings.)

There are only 4 rooms for rent here so it is very personal. The Australian owners Lisa and Sean, are very friendly and have good connections with locals to organise snorkelling tours and transport to mainland Bali. I loved the location, it is a very quiet area compared to Nusa Lembongan, in fact very like Nusa Lembongan was when we went there in 2011. The restaurant is popular with other travellers, and the restaurant and pool are at the bottom of the property, half the time overlooking the sea when the tide is in, and half the time overlooking the fascinating seaweed farming.

Perfectly located on Ceningan island with an amazing view on the seaweed cultures and beautiful sunset scenery in the evenings. Shaun and Lisa will make you feel at home as soon as you walk in, they ensure everything runs smoothly and will help you with anything you might need. We were able to rent a scooter upon arrival, got some useful recommendations during our stay and they even helped to send via boat a book we forgot at the bungalow. Breakfast included was healthy and tasty, but the highlight was definitely dinner they serve in the evening. One of our best experiences so far during our Bali trip, we will be back! Thank you again

That we couldn’t stay longer!

We chose this place, in the beginning because what was available on the dates we wanted in the area (last minute decision). But we ended up liking it very much! With the new owner Lisa & Shawn and staffs they were making sure that we have all what we needed. We just loving all about the place: cute 4-5 cottages, open air bathroom, clean, comfort and quiet 😉. All is simple. Breakfast is good, dinner a la carte by the water at algae-culture plantation is magique. So close to the Yellow Bridge if we want to go across the Lembongan Island. And scoopy-motirbike is handy and for 5-6€ /day you get around the Island in a zip! So all is surely make us happy start at Mista.

Great location, wow factor when you come thru the gates, small, only 5 rooms all very tastefully kitted out. Mosquito nets around bed altho no mosquitoes around.. Outdoor shower and toilet great idea. Fabulous outlook over the ocean and lush seaweed farms.

a separate towel for sea/pool swimming would be helpful as not much drying this time of year.

Everything! This place is a diamond in the rough. The hosts are incredible and make you feel right at home in their little piece of paradise. Far and away, our best stay on our Bali trip yet. The food at the restaurant was fantastic, the service was always top notch, the pool was amazing, stellar views of the seaweed farms. The pictures do not do it justice. Can’t say enough great things about this place, if you’re visiting Nusa Lembongan/Ceningan, you absolutely gotta stay here.

There were a few issues with getting water to our bungalow, but it was an island-wide problem, and I appreciated the way our hosts provided alternate water sources when it was out.
