Exec 2 bed lodge in rural Wales with Cymru Holidays

Beautiful Cottage, very homely and great hosts. Very welcoming and offered extra water bottles. Nothing was too much trouble.

Parking on chipped gravel was a little tricky

Beds could do with new mattresses and shower pressure was not great.

We had an amazing stay in this fantastic 2 bedroom home. Stunning views, spacious, clean, and equipped with everything you might need. Woke up to stunning views and birds singing.

Water pressure in the shower is very low, unfortunately.

Place was gorgeous - very well equipped kitchen etc- clean in all rooms. Lots of extras other places like this don’t supply such as tea/coffee, full spice rack etc. fabulous views and lovely private garden and seating area. Little bit cold to sit out while we were there but must be fab in good weather.

There were just a couple of things that let it down. The first is probably something they can’t do a lot about and that is the water pressure. Shower wasn’t much more than a trickle but we managed. However, for such a lovely place the mattress on the bed we slept in was just awful and was so bad that I had to sleep on the couch the first night. The springs could be felt every turn so I ended up sleeping on the quilt and a blanket the 2nd night. Such a shame as overall we loved it.

All aspects of the accommodation and the facilities were very good. Everything necessary for our stay was provided. The viewpoint was great.

Wonderful lodge. Absolutely stunning views and Jay was so helpful., Even tho you were close to Cwmbran it was so peaceful. I loved looking at the sky at night. The stars were sparkling clear. My bed was so comfortable. The pillows and bedding was fresh, clean and comfy. I slept like a baby. The settee were nice and comfy too., The garden was immaculate. The TV cabin and projector room was a great extra. There was heating but when it's minus and freezing outside we didn't take advantage as much as we would have liked. In the summer, or warmer times, the seating outside the door is ideal to sit, stare at the view and just chill. Definetly a special place to stay. But don't tell everyone--ssshhhhhh. 🤭🤫🤫

Mmmm, this is difficult. It was completely out of the Managers hand, also the head cleaner. The lodge unfortunately had not been cleaned to the standard and level One would expect, plus many extras that should, have been put in place hadn't., It was apparent it had not been cleaned to a suitable level. Jay was bitterly disappointed and I believe has sorted, permanently, the problem with the staff that had said they had cleaned. We had a small refund out of courtesy from Jay due to the inconvenience of having to have the lodge complelty cleaned on the day after we had arrived. The difference was huge. It was perfect, spotless and all issues had been taken care off. Thank you. The lady that came to clean was also dismayed and was determined to make the lodge as clean and welcoming as we had expected. In view of the problem being sorted I still feel that the lodge was a wonderful place to stay. The reputation of the lodge and other places is put at stake when staff are not dillegent. It was unfortunate it happened to be the few days we were staying. However, this was put right and Jay responded immediately to our calls and helped put things right. 🌹. It would not stop me booking again.

Everything was provided lovely space and so comfortable
