Lovely place in the heart of Portugal, What a cheerful and kind welcome from the owners. Everything was incredible. I recommend this dog friendly place, and please, If you stay over there, go and visit the ' miradouro de são Leonardo ' and then drive to Provesende. Amazing place to stay. Loved it and will repeat.

Uma das melhores experiências que já tivemos! Como família apaixonada por boa comida e pela natureza, decidimos passar um fim de semana prolongado tranquilo na bela região do Douro, apenas com a intenção de relaxar e desfrutar de boa gastronomia. A Quinta da Laceira, gerida pelo Jorge e pela sua família, superou todas as nossas expectativas. Receberam-nos com a maior simpatia e foram incrivelmente atenciosos e prestáveis durante toda a estadia. A comida estava absolutamente deliciosa, autêntica, tradicional e preparada com muito carinho. A casa é perfeita para grupos grandes, espaçosa, acolhedora e cheia de opções de entretenimento. Com um pouco de sol, ainda conseguimos dar um mergulho refrescante na piscina! Diria que esta casa é ideal em qualquer estação do ano, seja para uma escapadinha acolhedora de inverno ou umas férias ensolaradas de verão. Mal podemos esperar para voltar!

Brilliant location with stupendous views. Quite remote but with the friendly, helpful family living on-site the location felt safe. We had luch on one day in the on-site restaurant. George (who had been a restauranteur), hosted. The 'typical' portuguese food (mains - salted cod) was great. The wines - all Quinta da Laceira wines were surprisingly excellent (both whites & both reds) - well-made & good examples of the huge range of wine the Duoro offers.

Foam mattresses & pillows resulted in poor sleep quality. We don't like cats so took measures to avoid them getting into the kitchen & sleeping areas. The cats didn't learn so we had to keep the door closed nearly all the time.

The property is huge , good for big families,very quiet area where you can enjoy the fresh air and the amazing view they have and also the pool and surrounding is great. The owners are very polite and friendly and also very welcoming. We had the opportunity to speak with all of them and it was great experience,I definitely recommend this place and we will be back again.
