City Centre Apartment Close to Ascot & Legoland Sleep Upto 4 Guests - Parking on Request!

The location was perfect - right beside the bus station, literally above the train station and just a few minutes walk from the Lexicon. The parking is just on the other side of the station and t was easy to access the key in the lockbox. The apartment was on the 7th floor so there was a great view from the windows. The bedding and towels were clean, and the apartment was well provided with crockery. There was lots of room, and the hanging space in the wardrobes was particularly good. In the kitchen, there was a dishwasher, a washing machine and a Tassimo coffee machine, as well as a cooker, toaster and kettle. Teabags were provided. There were various "table games" provided also, although I didn't need / use them, so I covered them up. The décor looked pretty good in the main - the cushions and throws and wall art were all nice.

Firstly, I was given a completely different apartment than the one in the listing. I believe it is in the same building, but this one was geared towards groups of contractors rather than business people or families. The outer door of the apartment block was broken so anyone could have walked into the apartment building and there was nobody at the desk downstairs. I found the parking instructions unclear, but was unable to get any clarification. Inside, the sleeping arrangements consisted of six single beds , three in each room, plus a sofa bed in the sitting room: I had expected a double bed. The mattresses were very soft/unsupportive, and the sofa, conversely, was very hard to sit on. The rest of the furniture was not great - the edging tape was coming off some of it. In the kitchen, the sink-plug was broken, and there was no washing-up bowl, so I had to wash up in a saucepan. There was some limescale in the bathrooms, in the kettle, and around the kitchen sink, and no descaler available. There was no dishcloth to wipe down surfaces (although there was a scrubber and a teatowel). The oven needed a clean, so it smoked quite badly when I first used it, and the hob also needed a clean/scrape. The dishwasher didn't clean the dishes properly as it needed salt and rinse-aid. There were marks on the walls, and not very thorough cleaning of the hard to reach areas (eg in the cutlery drainer and under the plug in the bathroom). The dining set consisted of a table and two benches, so it wasn't ideal if you needed to work in the apartment (as I did), but it was fine for eating. There were plenty of pots and pans, but no oven-tray so I had to buy some disposable oven-trays to use the oven. Some discs for the coffee machine would have been good but that's . I did email the landlord about the above issues but I didn't get a response to an email or a voice-message. Any emails that I received seemed to have been automatically generated.

On arrival there were quite a few problems, but the host was very responsive to my questiins

The apartment was very clean. A great size with two bathrooms. We had one or two queries and the host was super responsive helping us out straight away. Very good location next to the train station. It was a much better choice than getting two rooms at a hotel.

The location was perfect, the apartment was good size. Two bedroom and two bathrooms.

The blinds and furniture are beginning to look a little tired.
