warm and quiet with a comfortable bed

I was given the wrong code to get it which made arrival unnecessarily stressful

Very well enough equipped, comfortable and warm. Quiet location, away from the town and sea front. I've stayed here before, booking was was much more straightforward this time as I didn't have to register with their risk management company. Whether that's because I'm now on the system or whether they no longer use them I don't know. Either way I'd happily return here next time I'm in Torquay

Flat had everything needed apart from a working TV

No ariel connection so no TV channels,

- it's in a beautiful building with big, nice rooms - new furniture - well decorated - very quiet

Great place to stay Tea, Coffee and Sugar there on arrival. Very clean would love to return again.

Our apartment was lovely and definitely stay there again, the bed was really comfortable, it was really clean, warm, home from home 😊

The apartment was spotless and the furnishings were of high quality. The location was fine, a quiet area away from the centre and the harbour, but slightly too far to walk to either, especially given the hilly terrain. But I know that when I booked so it's an observation not a criticism.

Wi-fi was very hit and miss, often dropping out when trying to watch Netflix on the smart TV. The signal was also too weak to get a decent connection on my phone. There wasn't an actual standalone oven, just a convection/microwave over, which was located on top of the fridge/freezer, considerably over my wife's head height. Still, minor irritations that wouldn't stop me going again. However, the booking system was a real faff. After booking, I was informed I had to register with the owner's "risk management" partner. These people want everything, including a copy of driving license or passport. I wasn't over keen on sending that info to a company about whom I knew nothing, so I googled them and their reviews are mixed to say the least. Since they did appear to be a bona fide organisation, I reluctantly sent everything they wanted, including a photo of my license and a selfie to prove that it was me. After a short while I received an email from them saying that the photo of my license wasn't clear and to re-do that section. I tried to oblige, to be met with the message that their website was undergoing maintenance. Unfortunately I booked as last minute, with no option to cancel, otherwise I would have just cancelled and booked with someone else. After finally re-doing the photo and receiving an email to say all was now OK, I then received "reminders to complete my registration". I logged on and all was good so I ignored the reminders. These came every 2 hours, no doubt automated, including throughout the night and on the journey down! I did start to wonder on the way there if the key would be where the owner arranged, or whether they would cancel my booking because of supposedly not completing the registration. It did give the impression that they were worried that I might trash the place.
