Wend Gardens Annx Carleton Skipton Pet friendly

Beautiful location especially if you are taking pets, surrounded by fields. Quiet and peaceful only 10 minutes walk to the village shop and only 2 miles from Skipton, what’s not to like.

We didn’t like the weather too hot, 88dg hampered our stay somewhat. Not good for 2 OAP’s and one 10yr old dog. Had to stay indoors for a couple of days and didn’t get to see the places we had planned to visit.

Not being able to enjoy the view should it have been raining as sitting room had no view,yet the kitchen did.

Beautiful accommodation Hosts very helpful, appreciate them leaving bread eggs etc.

It was a nice quiet location. Comfortable, clean and had all the basic necessities.

The location was very quiet so it offered a peaceful and relaxing time for us during our stay. The property was pet friendly and we had my lovely dog staying with us.

We were to discover upon arrival that the photos we based our booking on were seriously out of date as there is now a main gate in situ that has to be manually opened and closed when you arrive at and leave the property. As we booked the place for mobility reasons because it was all on one level it was not ideal to then have to mess about with gates when we use either a walker or a stick to aid us and it proved to be a genuine struggle for us. The bed was extremely low and difficult to rise from, there was no toilet roll holder in the bathroom which we both found annoying and bizarrely the microwave was in the utility room which was far from ideal. You were expected to strip the bed before you left which we both thought was a request too far as we actually paid not to stay in a youth hostel!!! For the reasons stated, but especially the bed and the main gate situation, we will unfortunately not be returning. NB: In direct response to your patronising reply of attempting to pass the blame on to me I will say that you were contractually negligent in your photos being so out of date on which we based our booking. The neighbours have since covered their back yard contrary to the photos you include and they said that they did this during Covid. The photos showed no main gate present that needed to be manually dealt with and the microwave was also shown to be in the kitchen and therefore there should have been no need to ask you about anything. You also however completely dismissed the matter when I did actually ask you about the main gate and you were aware of at least my mobility issues by that time as I was using a walking stick. I am perfectly capable of managing my own particular needs if the details are accurate at the time of booking and if they had been without the photos being YEARS OUT OF DATE then we never would have made the booking in the first place!!!
