Communication was excellent. Penthouse was very nice with great amenities. We will stay here again.

Clean, cozy, and exactly as described

Heart of the city, great location. Nice and bright even on a rainy day. Has all the basics. Comfortable beds. Each room can have their own bathroom.

Elevator only goes to 3rd floor. Need to walk up to 4th. Elevator is noisy. Can hear it in flat. Every morning street cleaner comes by. Main building door is hardly ever latched shut. Owner scared us w noise rules. As long as you are quiet in the hall you should be good.

The rooms were light and airy.

We lost electricity the first morning we were there and reported it to Joe and his brother. We sent them a picture of the electrical panel. We told them the elevator was also not working. We left for the day and came back almost 12 hours later and still no electricity. We called Joe again and he came by with a repairman and determined it was a problem with the main box with the electric company. They called the electric company and had it fixed a few hours later. Joe was very concerned and was willing to find other accommodations for us if it could not be fixed that night. Our disappointment was it should have been checked during the day by Joe. We were doing laundry 12:40am due to the delay because we needed to get ready for our next part of the trip. Joe did offer a refund of the night if the electricity wasn't fixed but did not answer my email on how we might be compensated.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Penthouse Apartment in Galway. The location is exceptional - just around the corner from the river on one side and the Latin Quarter on the other. Easy walk to limitless pubs, shopping, and a small grocery store. We also loved having two queen bedrooms and two bathrooms - perfect for two couples. The apartment has everything you might need for a stay of any length, it's quite comfortable and well furnished. Joe was a fantastic host - available and quick to respond. We would definitely stay there again.
