Extremely Disappointing and Unsafe Stay – Avoid This Property This was by far the worst lodging experience I’ve ever had. The house was absolutely not guest-ready — it felt more like a construction site than a vacation rental. Upon arrival, we found broken furniture, unsafe railings, exposed nails, a dirty and unusable laundry area, and a taped-over air filter that worsened allergy issues for my entire family. I even got locked inside a bathroom due to a faulty lock and nearly had to call emergency services. The front door lock was broken, plumbing failed mid-shower if any other tap was in use, and a ceiling fan had no working light or remote — serious red flags for electrical safety. Overflowing trash bins, dirty silverware, and a visibly unhygienic water filter system forced us to buy bottled water and clean everything ourselves. To make things worse, the listing claimed to offer parking for two vehicles, but only one fit, resulting in unexpected out-of-pocket costs. This property should not be listed until it undergoes major repairs. It posed real health and safety risks, and what was meant to be a comfortable trip with my family became a source of stress and discomfort. I would not recommend this rental to anyone.

Great location, convenient to everything

This is a pretty house in a pretty neighborhood, and there was plenty of room for us to spread out. Walkable to the Union Market area, which has some great restaurants and the food hall. A needed repair issue was taken care of quickly, while we were there, which we appreciated. Friendly host!

The only weird thing was that during our stay, the host chat was apparently handled by AI, which only offered vague answers/solutions to questions/issues (it took us a while to realize that was what was going on). The real, human chats with the host before and after were great and helpful.

We all had a great stay at this house. The location was great. Parking was not a problem. And it was close to a lot of restaurants & monuments.

Upstairs hallway light did not work. There was only one tv in one of the rooms, the screen was completely messed up as if the TV was dropped or hit with something.

The place was spotless, well-equipped, and in a great location

The location was perfect, just close enough to FedEx field and the desirable U street nightlife. We were looking for a place with 3 beds and this place was perfect.

The second door wasn’t as cool as the first floor, so it got a little warm and uncomfortable at night. Although the box fan did help.
