Pearl - new and cosy apartment close to Center

The apartment had all of the useful utensils needed for cooking and everyday life. Everything was very clean and practical. The host was very clear with the instructions and answered any question that we had. The bed was very comfortable, the kitchen has everything we needed, the bathroom was clean and very nice. Definitely a place I would book again.

I travel really often and I booked this accommodation because I had found many other places in Riga where something just didn’t feel so great — until I finally came across this one. Good things sometimes take time :-) The Pearl Apartment is located about a 15/20 minutes tram ride (Tram 11 to Karzamu iela) from the opera house. Why am I mentioning this? Because Google Maps initially led me somewhere else at first. The building is newly built with a really nice entrance area. After you entered the building you take the elevator to the upper floor and collect the key from a lockbox. This procedure is already quite familiar nowadays and makes check-in especially flexible. The apartment itself — as you can already see in the photos — is very modern and stylishly furnished. It was also spotlessly clean, and the owners even left mineral water and sweets for guests! Many thanks for that! The apartment is also extremely well equipped, featuring a very comfortable bed, a large flatscreen TV, a dining table with two chairs, and an armchair with a small side table. There is also a huge wardrobe, a very modern kitchenette with a stove, refrigerator, and dishwasher and much more. There is also a toaster, coffee, sugar, and there was even portioned milk for coffee in the fridge. And: much, much, much, much more. The bathroom is stocked with countless products (shower gel, shampoo, etc.). There are also many other details, like an umbrella, and so on. I also liked the large window front and the lovely curtains make the apartment feel even more cozy and homely. I also noticed that there is a washing machine and a vacuum cleaner available. I’m writing quite a lot — and there is a reason for that: The hosts/owners are incredibly kind, and when an apartment is this cozy and welcoming, I think it’s worth making the effort to leave a more detailed review. Biut now long story short: I would give this apartment 12 out of 10 points :) So: Latvia, 12 points.

I think if you only give positive feedback it often doesn't seem critical enough. Thats why I would mention that there isn't much anymore in this area (but the tram directly to the centre stops a few metres away) and the view from the window is a bit "bleak". Did it bother me? NO!

Everything was fine. The apartment is in a good location, not too far from the center, a few stops near the building. The apartment itself was very clean, everything you need for living and even more was inside. However, at night and in the mornings, the rumble of a tram right under the window is annoying (and the bed and pillows are not very comfortable). Otherwise, everything went well, the owner is very responsive, I recommend it.

A very cozy one room apartment. It has everything you need to live comfortably including kitchen and bath appliances. The hostess is very nice and welcoming. Everything is clean, comfortable and operational. Convenient tram stop close to the house.

WiFi was quite slow sometimes.
