The Raven’s Cliff Lodge by Marston's Inns

The room was reasonably clean. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Socket with USB near the bed.

We had a twin room, but only one bath towel and one hand towel, so had to cross the carpark to the pub to get more. Beds are very small and uncomfortable. Room is very sparse with minimal coffee / tea makings, no place for luggage, only one hook for hanging. Worst of all, there is a terrible smell in the hallway, and only slightly better in the room. Something akin to body odour. The buckets full of water and cigarette butts at the entrance, just beside the external door, are extremely unpleasant, as well. We would not stay here again.

Breakfast was excellent. Staff are superb. Room was comfortable.

Service was slow at times. Everything else was fine.

Comfy Bed, clean bathroom, conveniently located for a stopover on the way to the Highlands.

Found some glitter/sequoins from previous guests on the floor. Missing Hairdryer in one of the three rooms we had booked. Curtain falling down in another one - staff didn't bother to hang it back up. Suspicious stains on the carpet. No Elevator to the rooms to upstairs. Ordered a vegetarian dish and was served a meaty one in the restaurant.

Nice quiet room, cosy bed.
