Robin Nest - Cosy Shepherd's Hut Hideaway

The bed and sofa were comfortable. I appreciated how quickly the problem with the WiFi was sorted out.

I didn't like having a bloke who said he worked on the farm start knocking on my door at 10'oclock at night to tell me not to be startled by any loud noises as he was going to be shooting foxes !!! His excuse being that they were killing his geese and this was just part of farm life. I have kept birds myself and lived in the countryside for over 50 years. We have never lost a bird to a fox because we have always made the effort to make sure they are securely fenced and safe. I would never have stayed on this farm if I had known it practiced such lazy and backward farming methods. Wildlife needs to be protected.

Quirky, unique stay. Lots of attention to detail and owner super helpful. Importantly for us, dog friendly with secure garden.

The ginger cat host! The road side eggs! The hut was lovely 😍 The owners were easy to contact and were very friendly.

We had to ring the owners because the WiFi hadn't been updated in the book but we rang up and was quickly solved.

Prijsverhouding tot wat je krijgt was het zeker waard. Grappig en leuk klein hutje. Al zou ik het eerder overwegen voor een verblijf van een paar dagen, dan voor een volle week wat we dit keer gedaan hebben.

De internetverbinding was zeer matig. En vooral omdat op die wijze ook o.a. de tv werd aangestuurd, viel het signaal en beeld vaak weg, wilde niet opstarten of liep vaak vast. Van de eigenaren hebben we tijdens het verblijf niemand gezien. Het is dat we bij aankomst nog niet de kode van het sleutelkastje hadden en dus moest bellen. Anders hadden we zelfs helemaal niets gezien of gehoord van de eigenaren. Behalve dan de paar berichten via de mail binnen booking.com. Het verblijf liep prima, maar een advies richting de eigenaren zou zijn, ga bij je gasten even langs na een dag of twee om te vragen of alles naar wens is en/of men nog vragen heeft. Een stukje klantvriendelijkheid had op zijn plaats geweest in dezen.

Quiet, peaceful surroundings, the hut is perfect with all you need, plus the secure garden area, ideal for the dogs.
