It has a private swimming pool and it’s clean

Not so much. Very tiny, pressed in necessary furniture's in strange ways to make it all fit inside. The cleaning was OK and the bathroom somehow acceptable.

The host scammed us and even tried to scam us again the next day; We had an agreed price when booking, but on payment the host demanded 50% more. Without that extra payment she denied to give the code to the keybox. Then the next day we get an email from booking.com telling us she claims "no-show" and that this means she's entitled to charge us for this. In addition to the first scam, she tried a second one. Crazy in my opinion. The pool looks nice in pictures but is in reality in a corner of the parking area, squished into the laundry area where residents are washing outdoors by hand. Not exactly a nice or serene place. Must of the tiles around the pool was also broken. The so called beach view was none existing. Instead there was view of road construction from the bathroom, some bushes and a hotel from the kitchen and to a garage dumpsite from the bedroom. There's no living room, but a 2seater pressed into the bedroom. The place so tiny that we had to keep our luggage in the kitchen. A kitchen wich btw had very bad equipment and utensils. We found one dirty glas, a mug and a cup to drink from. The fridge was very rusty. The microwave didn't work. And we didn't get the cooker to ignite either. Upon arrival there wasn't any electricity and the host claimed it was KPLCs fault. Strangely enough the power came back quickly after we complained, as if token was bought... I can only recommend you to stay away from this place and this host. There's so many good places in the area to choose from, without being the victim of scams and that's nice in reality, not only on pictures. Edit; She claims in her reply "no-show" because my partner checked in before I arrived. The host was throughout explained that we would arrive Mombasa at different times with different planes, and that I was delayed in Addis until evening. And that my partner therfore would arrive earlier and pay.
