Grand Penthouse / Backup Power / Stunning

Great helpful staff, brilliant location, and the penthouse is amazing the pictures don’t do it justice.

Jacuzzi was undergoing maintenance that day so wasn’t able to use it, staff did provide a backup option though but was a bit of an inconvenience.

The two toilets were leaking, and the floors remained wet. The air conditioner in the one bedroom did not work. This unit does not have a private hot tub, or a swimming pool.. I was misled ,it's actually a communal hot tub, which happened to be renovated.The total duration of this stay did we have to listen to hammering, which you also conveniently neglected to mention. The penthouse also has water damage and a moldy smell... I had to spend spend half of the morning waiting for the maintenance manager to try and repair the leaking toilet, which he could not..... When I asked about the false advertising about the penthouse facilities did they said it's Booking.com that refuse to rectify the issue.

Great location, stunning views, easy access to shops and breakfast locations, big plus not to suffer outages. Large and spacious accommodation. Most of the kitchen appliances were excellent quality as was the TV.

Unfortunately several things didn't work out. After the first day we couldn't lock the door into the apartment. This meant 3 women staying in an unlocked apartment overnight. The manager Prosper dealt with the problem after 48 hours. There was no safe in the apartment so we had to carry all our valuables, money and passports around with us whenever we left the apartment. Three days in Prosper returned to replace one of the balcony doors which didn't close properly. again, we had to vacate the property and take all our valuable with us as the workmen were in the apartment until 4pm. A lot of the light switches didn't work, the toilet seat in the middle bathroom was the wrong size for the toilet, the kitchen cupboard doors all needed to be adjusted and rehung as they didn't fit, the kitchen was poorly equipped with a mix of plates, glasses and cutlery. We had 4 friends round for dinner one evening and had to ask them to bring their own cutlery and Champagne flutes!! There had obviously been some breakages by previous tenants as replacement glasses in the cupboards still had the labels on them. Two of the bedrooms had leaks in the ceiling and the showers all drained badly with water edging into the bathrooms. Such a shame. Such a stunning apartment. Maybe the owner should live in it for a week and iron our these issues before renting it out. A R2,000 deposit was taken from my account. Not yet returned. I would appreciate a response and compensation for what was an expensive stay.
