Uncle Bill's Lodge and Soccer Pool Showdown

Great for out large family. Nice to be able to do laundry and cook. Fire pit, soccer pool, archery and board games gave us lots of interaction. Loved it!

The outside is great, plenty of room for kids. The inside was perfect only one TV so that meant spending more time together, plenty of board games, we spent hours upon hours playing battleship.. I was able to cook and then we all ate together in the kitchen. Plenty of beds with extra pillows.

The master bedroom door did not lock.. other then that, perfect!

We loved everything about the property. Location Clean Amenities Comfortable We felt right at home.

Everything was perfect for us

The location of this house (right near the small "downtown" area) was great, plus the property was fantastic with extra things for the kids to do and plenty of games to keep them busy! It was great to be near the ferry to Jamestown/Williamsburg and the kids loved riding it. Everything was clean and provided for us in the house. We never really needed anything and they answered any question we did have incredibly fast! Plenty of blankets and beds for everyone and all was pretty comfortable!

We didn't really have any "complaints" at all, though I hate leaving these sections blank, so, if you're planning on cooking for a lot of people, you may need to grab a large pan. They have everything else there, but we couldn't fit pasta for 7 in the pans they had (except the HUGE one, which didn't fit great on the stove). Also, the grill was pretty dirty. So, if you plan on using it, it's not hard to clean, but make sure you do it. One night we could hear the neighbor's music, but only until a little after 10pm. Those are the only "complaints" I can think of and none of them detracted from our stay at all!

The facility had everything we needed to enjoy ourselves. Having cleaning supplies available was very important. The full kitchen allowed us to spend more family time together.

The weather didn’t allow us much time to enjoy the outside games but this didn’t stop us from having a great time.

The location was perfect, only 10 minutes to the Jamestown/Scotland Ferry! Historic Jamestown, Colonial Williamsburg and the Yorktown Battlefield were total only an hour away or less! I loved that there was a closet stuffed full of fun games for the family to enjoy. I loved that there was a small fenced in area immediately out the back door for the little ones to run around in. I really appreciated the extra storage building with all the fun outdoor toys and the woods behind the house. My older children loved the archery and tetherball most! I like that the property is near the end of the street and not in a crowded subdivision or on the riverfront. I was very pleasantly surprised to find that all the beds had twin trundle mattresses underneath, which made it very easy for all ten of us to have a comfortable place to sleep. We thought the welcome tin with smore goodies and popcorn was very thoughtful and sweet. Check in and out, as well as locking up between excursions was very easy with the coded keypad. We appreciated the wifi.

The shower floors were dangerously slick once soap was present. I wish there had been a picture of the front of the house included in the profile. But had I known, then we would have missed out on this cozy family experience. Living in close quarters forces the necessity of peaceful resolutions to minor squabbles and differences, which are ever abundant in a large family. I'm very thankful and glad that we had the opportunity to stay here because it helped us reunite some familial loyalty and unity. God is good. We're already planning our next family vacation!

The entertainment options inside and out were fantastic! The beds were comfortable. The cookware was super nice and easy to use. There were enough seats, plates, silverware and cups that our whole group could eat at once! All the seasoning options were a bonus.

The fact that it rained 3/4 of the time we were there. But we were easily entertained inside.

This is a great place. Totally enjoyed our stay and plan to rent it again in the future. Loved the yard, and the neighbors were great.
