Kaunas Castle Apartments - 2 Bedroom Flat

It was a very nice place, everything was clean and the host was very friendly. Would reccomend.

Excellent location - you are literally 2 minute walk from Rotušės aikštė or 3 min walk to Kaunas Castle. Parking in the courtyard was great plus for us. Spacious appartment. Two balconies. We had everything needed in the kitchen (including some tea, basics for cooking like salt, etc). There is no dining table as such - instead there is a bar with high (very high) chairs - so if you have very little children of elderly - this might be important for you. I also would suggest having an option for single duvets instead of double - if you are planning on comming and need some - suggesting requesting some in advance

It was freezing inside! Host was very erogant. She is controlling the heating system herself via wi-fi If you want a warmer room, it would be her decision if it is warm enough or not. Here is what we lived when we entered! We are here in Kaunas with my daugther because she will study this semester in Kaunas University. And I booked Kaunas Castle apartment from booking.com for me and my daughter because we will stay together. As soon as we arrived at the apartment, I called the owner because it was very cold inside. Actually she did not answer and I tried to handle the subject myself. (18:08) After I called again she answered. (18:23) Also the apartment was smelling very bad! It was night, we were cold and we did not give the smell issue a priority. I guess it was around 5-7 degress! First she told me that inside is warm enough and there was no need to do anything. After I insisted that inside is cold, she asked me to send her a photo of the boiler via whatsapp. (photo no:1) I am an engineer and I can easliy understand that the boiler is not working. She asked to adjust the heating level of boiler to 42 and I did. (Photo no:2) As the boiler was not functioning, adjusting the value did not do anything. I called her again and told that the boiler is not working at all. She did not accept that it is cold inside. (photo no:3) I tried for hot water from tap, the boiler started to work. I took a video when hot water is on, boiler is working and making some noise. At the same time it is not heating the apartment because there is no noise or a sign of functioning when the tap is turned off. When I checked the boiler, I realised that it is connected to a device which is controlling the heat level via wi-fi! She told me don’t touch it! When I asked immediate support/help from her and she did not reply or take into consideration, I wrote her that I will call booking.com. (Photo no:4) She wrote me that this is a blackmail. Finally we left the building.

In old town, very close to restaurants and nice places.

Very loud street! Cars going all night, and we can't sleep with opens windows! August was very hot in Lithuania...
