Vang Vieng Hana River View Hotel & Travel

Amazing balcony with sunset views over the hills. Spacious room with clean double bed and single bed.

Bathroom was okay but definitely of a lower standard than the rest of the room. Wi-Fi was very poor.

The view from some of the rooms is the only good thing about this property. And you can get that view from anywhere in Vang Vieng.

This has to be one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had. Firstly- many of the reviews on here are fake. There is no pool (and I can’t imagine where one could have been?) secondly the property is so different from what was described. There are 3-4 boys who seem to be working and living at the property and only one was even remotely helpful (he had recently arrived from Luang Prabang). We arrived and when we got to the room is was clear that it was not the room we had booked. There was an unplugged tv, barely working aircon and lamps with no lights in them plus a view only one side of mainly construction going on below. When I told this to the front desk person he said no tv was working in Laos but that was not true as there were tvs on in other guesthouse restaurants we visited down the road. We asked if they could put a light in lamps as the only light in the room was a flickering fluorescent light and they said that the shops were closed which is untrue. Our bed was stained with BLOOD I’m not even kidding and when I tried to tell them my problems one of the boys literally remained on his phone ignoring me like not even looking up so much so that another staff member had to push him to acknowledge me. They agreed they had given us the wrong room and said we could change the next day. The next day comes and we are changed to the exact same room next door but with lights. Again not what we booked. I told them I wanted some partial refund but they said oh we can take you to the bus stop for free instead- that is already included in the ticket price. It’s just unbelievable. They claim to be a tour company also so we tried to get them to organise a taxi for us to a place out of town and that could not be done. There are sooooooo many other places you can stay in VV with pools tvs and fridges ect for this price and cheaper. The place was absolutely filthy and has left a real sour taste in my mouth.

Seng and stuff are very helpfull and kind The view is amazing! Bed, airco and shower are good. Please take care of the street cats and dogs. If you have left over food please give it to them. Thank you!

Room could be more clean. It is Lao clean, like clean enough.

- staff are incredibly helpful and kind. Mr Seng the manager speaks excellent English and was able to help me with train tickets, changing tickets, day trips, where to eat, money… The other staff are also very friendly and kind. - Perfect location - amazing landscape and sunset views (big windows, balcony with table and chairs). - Safe - I felt v safe as a solo female traveller - v close to coffee shops and restaurants

The hotel is located at convenience area, near to some restaurants, convenience store but not too crowd. View from my room is overlooking to river & mountain. Seng & his team are friendly, communicative & helpful. A very valuable decision for me to stay there.

Nice location w. great view (we stayed 4rh floor). Helpful Staff. and that is all.

Travelling Asia for many years also with budget hotel and this was the worst experience ever. Room is spacious but remembers old times with a switchboard on the wall from late 60ties. Cleanless is so so. Stinky pillows. Breakfast nonexisting - 3in1 as coffee, 4 dishes from eggs to choose from (i took sunny side up and was cold and overfried) two slices of toast bread and tiny slices of banana and watermelon (3 each). We left after one night of three, found hotel for $10 per night more and this was like heaven and hell. If you read opnions which i think the owner is buying they mention relaxing time at swimming pool (have screenshots) which hotel does not have. Avoid this place!

Perfect stop for a few nights in Vang Vieng - staff really make this place so enjoyable.

This place is so lovely and such good value for money. The breakfast is substantial and they will help you with any questions. Everything is spotless and works perfectly.

The view from the balcony’s by was fantastic. Great for sunsets and morning balloon’s watching.
