Jacksons - Two Mile Bay Holiday Home

The location was ideal - close enough to access Taupō Centre but not too close where you're constantly hearing the hustle and bustle. Real easy to find the house too. The beds were really comfortable and I was grateful for the fan that was left at the house. Having access to a Washing Machine and Dryer was also a nice touch, as we had quite a bit of laundry from the swims. Their kitchen utensils were extensive and I loved the induction stove top - it made cooking less of a chore knowing there was a consistent source of heat.

Only two negatives - 1) The lack of Air Conditioning available upstairs. It was quite muggy when we went and we opted to sleep with the first floor balcony doors open, but it didn't help too much. Whilst an A/C unit would be amazing, I think a couple of extra fans that are bigger than the one available would be a good work around. 2) The upstairs bathroom draw collides with the adjacent room's sliding door, so you can't open it fully. These cons are only minor in comparison to all of the pro's about this lovely house.

Loved the layout and location.

Front door lock gave us a bit of trouble. Staff responded very promptly but had trouble again later on the stay. One of the children managed to get through a window to open the front door! Rubbish system confusing

The place is very well set up, with nice, clean new bathrooms; the linen was cosy and comfortable - we aren't used to the cold.

I understand no one is 100% available to do the rubbish; would it not be included in the cleaning? Having to take the rubbish with us when we left was a first for us, and there is no mention of it on the booking side, so you don't know until you have checked in. The property was costly for what it was, and I regret not booking the other place.

We had everything we needed, so nothing comes to mind.
