"We loved our stay at Suga and will definitely stay there again."

10.0

The bedrooms are extremely comfortable, and the layout is outstanding, featuring a centrally positioned pool and stunning views in every direction. However, the highlight of the villa is its wonderful staff, who were always on hand to cater to our every need.

"My stay at Suga Estate Villas"

8.0

The villa was beautiful, the breakfast was exceptional, and the staff were always accommodating

I did not like the idea of an open-air shower and toilet. It didn't feel private

"The hotel is overpriced with better alternatives available. The room had an ant problem, and essentials like disinfectan"

6.0

It’s a good place, and the staff are very nice.

I think this place is a bit overpriced. There are many better options for the same price. There were a lot of ants on the bed, and they were everywhere in the room. The disinfectant spray was used up, and room service didn’t refill the toothbrush. Overall, I don’t highly recommend this hotel.

"Very good"

8.0

The villa looks very good, designer like, the beds were very comfortable and the people at the reception happy to help. There is a nice coffee place nearby, within walking distance. Also, close by is a international kindergarten, so I think the location is in a nice neighborhood of Ubud.

The villa is located near Ubud, but due to evening traffic you can expect to stay in traffic 40 min -1 hour from the center if you are travelling by car, if travelling with a scooter, probably the time is reduced a bit. For visiting Ubud I would choose a central location next time, especially if driving a scooter is not an option. One of the minuses.... there are no so many options around to go on foot and eat, so you need to travel to the city center. On the plus... there is a nice coffee place nearby! The restaurant nearby has some dogs that tend to be pretty aggressive... we passed through there once and somebody from the restaurant had to stay with the dogs. The villa is a traditional rice field villa with outside bathrooms... that was a problem for some of us, as in one of the bathrooms there were a lot of mosquitos... and a frog. The living room is also open, it was very nice to stay in the evening there... but every morning the dining table was full of poop... we believe from a huge gecko that resides on the roof above the table.... so every morning we started our day with cleaning the table in order to eat. Another minus unfortunately... the kid of one of the families developed an allergy to what was put in the pool to keep the water clean... she had something like burns on the tip of her fingers... both at the foot fingers and hand fingers. The rest of the kids and adults were ok, but we used the pool for very short periods of time as some of us were away most of the time.

"BEWARE OF THE INTEGRITY OF THIS PROPERTY MANAGEMENT"

1.0

The on property staff (who has no authority)

After studying the pictures on booking.com, we decided to book a “standard villa”. The “villa” turned out to be just a small subpar room outside of the other villas compound separated by a closed door. It was more like a servant quarter/garage turned into a room. The bathroom with miniature sink, toilet and shower is less than 1.5x2 m. Right outside of the room was construction trash covered by dilapidated screen. Had the management only posted the pictures of this “standard villa” and eliminated all the other pictures of villas with pool etc which has nothing to do with this room, it would have been fair. The “rice field view” was only a barren field with some tied up cows. We only stayed for one night and left the other 6 paid nights unused. The hot water was gone after one shower. The management refused to talk to us or compensate us for their wrong advertisement. Booking.com couldn’t help us because they just did what was on the paper and without seeing the real situation it was tricky.

"Location and insects were a put-off."

7.0

The private pool is big but deep, probably not suitable for young children. Staffs are friendly and responsive.

The villa has a very beautiful open concept with plenty of lush. However it also means there are a lot of mosquitos and other insects, makes it a challenge to chill in the living area or in the open bathtub in peace. The rooms and living area are not connected. It was quite a hassle during our stay when it rained. The location is too secluded, no food options around even at the Main Street.
