Loft in Beautiful 19th Century House

El anfitrión fue muy amable y me dejó entrar antes de ma hora, ya que yo llegaba antes que mi familia. Además estaba muy limpio todo y nos dejaron frutas, galletas, cafés… La ubicación muy buena, pudimos aparcar cerca, repetiríamos sin duda, hemos estado muy cómodos. Gracias 😊

Todo perfecto. La casa súper fresquita. Detalles para desayunar, algo de fruta, toallas buenas, y nos dejaron hasta una esponja para cada uno. Limpio y cómodo. Volvernos a repetir. Nos dejaron la hora de salida más tarde. 100% recomendable.

Fortunatly I was with my parents during the stay and I was able to take their luggage to the appartment, because it would have been imposible for them to take it along the narrow stairs that have a 180 degree turn in the middle of the stairs. Although there is no noise from outside because it is an underground appartment, the neighbours from the first floor arrived around 11pm and were walking all around their house opening and closing doors and flushing toilets, and since there is not much floor isolation in this 19th century house, their noise could be clearly heard and kept us waking up in the middle of the nights during our four day stay. I was waiting so much for this moment to write a review, specially at night, because when sleeping in the mattress of the sofa bed, I could feel the metal structure of the mattress pressing against my bones, it is a very light mattress with very strong metalic wiring, so you end up sleeping like a steak in a barbecue. Keep also in mind that there are shared windows and locked doors with another apartment, so what separates you and the other family from the next appartment are regular windows that let 80% of the noise and light pass thru, including inside the main bedroom and along the livingroom, were the sofa bed is located. Since the appartment is underground, when you enter you feel the humidity and the temperature change, it was the end of may and it was cold inside, in winter must be freezing. In the case of my mother, she ended up having sinus allergie due to the humid and cold air of the appartment. Regarding the kitchen, the sink instead of having a sifon has a 90 degree elbow, so there is no isolation with the smells of the sewage, so once we arrived, we were received with bad smell. It would be fixed very easily by installing a sifon but during our stay we managed to keep a wet towel on top of the drainage to stop the smells from entering the appartment.

Excellent location. Apartment had everything we needed for our stay in Madrid. Clean. Comfortable. Safe & Secure. Quiet. Very good communication with the host. Close to metro and shops.

The host was very kind and helpful. The complimentary coffee and other treats. The apartment was cosy quaint and tastefully done.

Excellent location 5 minutes away from metro station, bullfighting arena, supermarkets ... Communication with host was very easy and simple. Apartment well maintained, clean and fully equiped. Definitely would recommend. Definitely will come again. Bravo!

The location is a good one, close to the metro and also to Mercadona. And it was very clean, you have every facility you could need and the design is interesting.

We would have loved access to the little lounge that you could see from the window in the "bedroom".

Great basement apartment, really well presented and clean. Some lovely touches and extras from Manuel.and Maria, really made us feel welcome. The property is located 4 to 5 min stroll to Ventas Metro station which just so happens to be next to Ventas Bullring, a beautiful building where you can enjoy a guided tour or visit their free museum. We went to watch Real Madrid play, the 43 bus took us pretty much door to door. The property is so well located you can walk North South, East and West and there is something to see and enjoy. A well stocked mini supermarket is at the end of the street and the area is littered with cafes and quaint bars.....it's a fantastic area. I totally recommend this property and would stay there again tomorrow.
