Fairbanks Rafiki BnB-4 Self check-in

I booked this property back in April for an August stay, expecting everything to go smoothly. Shockingly, the host contacted me just one day before my arrival to inform me that the room was no longer available. This was extremely unprofessional and left me in a very stressful situation, especially given the last-minute notice and the fact that I had planned my trip months in advance. I would strongly advise future guests to be cautious when booking here, as reliability and communication were severely lacking in my experience.

I recently stayed at this property and while the location was excellent, the overall experience left a lot to be desired.

First, the cleanliness was unacceptable. There were four leftover food items left in the refrigerator, and the stench was unbearable. It was clear that the fridge hadn’t been checked or cleaned before our arrival, which made settling in very uncomfortable. Second, the check-in process was frustrating. The host provided the wrong access code, and I had to call to get the correct one. After a long day of travel, this added unnecessary stress and confusion that could have easily been avoided with better communication. I chose this property based on good reviews and the promise of a smooth stay, but unfortunately, the lack of attention to basic cleanliness and a botched check-in process took away from what should have been a great experience.

Great spot in Fairbanks, stayed 1 night wished I'd have booked for more. Slight issue with our reservation, but the host was amazing and upgraded our stay. Beautiful apartment in a great location. Easy to access and get around. Lots of families out walking and playing.

The bed was very comfortable. The place was clean and nice. Liked the location and that I could have pets. Comfortable couch and living area. Like how easy it was to check in with using a key pad. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

I came during breakup season and the road to get to unit 2 was very slushy and hard to drive. It was a good thing I had a SUV or I would have got stuck. Not sure if you could plow? Also the light outside kept turning on and off all night as people would walk by and made it hard to fall asleep. There were people walking up and down the stairs next to my unit really late and it was very loud.
