Passing Moon- Filby (Norfolk Broads)

Lots of space, large rooms, comfy beds and great water pressure for showers. Brilliant garden, good location in a wonderful village. The host, Mark, was attentive, responsive to any questions, and keen to make sure we had everything we needed. We had shortbread waiting on arrival. Plenty of glasses, mugs, crockery, and cutlery. The kitchen (with dishwasher) and utility worked perfectly.

Nothing as such. Suggestion would be for additional kitchen equipment or large cooking pans/pots. However, you could just take a couple of essential bits your family uses, like we did, if you're keen to cook.

Quiet location but with easy access to the local area. Plenty of space inside and out for relaxing. Local shop around the corner but also only a short drive to bigger supermarket/s and pubs/eateries. Use the helpful photos the owners send over to locate the property as sat navs tell you it’s further down the road & on the right, not the left!

Some areas of the property would benefit from maintenance/ refurb. For example, appliances could do with replacing as not functioning that well & change the frying pans as definitely no longer non-stick! Downstairs loo seat broken. We didn’t report the issues as none required immediate attention but sharing the feedback so the property can have some tlc that it deserves.

The house, with the ability to lock up bikes undercover, is a great base for exploring the area on two wheels. The beds, with nice linen, are very comfortable. Lovely big bath towels .... though lack of hand towels. Well stocked village post office/shop two minutes walk .

The kitchen utensils/crockery supplied could be better and best suited for those who intend eating out. . Serious coffee drinkers bring your own equipment.

The house was absolutely gorgeous, very spacious and contemporary, impeccably clean, amazing hot tub, beautifully sized garden, just a beautiful home. Great Yarmouth was a 15 minute drive, Norwich 30 minutes, caister 10 minutes, serene location. The owner made sure there was tea bags, coffee, sugar and milk, and even left us some biscuits (it’s the little things that make a big difference). The owner was always on hand if we needed him aswell. Really enjoyed our stay and will DEFINITELY be going back when we can, it’s a 4 hour drive for us but so worth it. I strongly recommend to anyone who is looking for somewhere close to the Norfolk broads and Great Yarmouth. Thanks for letting us stay there!!

Comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay (although we couldn’t find the cork screw).

Brilliant location and property. Fantastic long break to celebrate an 80th birthday!

A few little bits are difficult to find at night. Would recommend maybe a sign on the edge of the close. And a couple of bulbs out and no lights working on the landing.
