I like the rainforest walk up

Well as you park you walk into the rainforest up to the door , as you walk there are broken solar lights that dont work at all and make the property looks very bad and poorly taken care of. The solar lights continue to be broken all the way to the hot tub where there is no light there at all to see at night except in the hot tub which does much of nothing so you have to use your cell phones flashlight to see, the hot tub smells like dirty wet socks also! Inside the house it's damp and smells like mildew , so be sure to buy air freshner, i also had to clean the entire place. There is a fan for those wondering, there is a blow dryer but that is broken, there are 4 random hangers and lack of storage. The towels they have are so small and flat they are like floor matts , so be sure to bring your own towels and beach towels cause they will not be provided! There is no salt or pepper and there is water they have in a jug but who knows when that has been clean. There should be more storage in the bathroom but instead there are weird hooks coming out of the walls where there should be a shelf! There is a humidifier but it's small and it has to be kept running along with the heater so things kinda some what dry out! Look i booked this place for a week and left after the third night and got a hotel in hilo cause it was so bad! The bed is ok minus the fact that you and your partner will end up in the middle of the bed cause it dips there! The sheets smells and so do the dressers next to the bed. The toilet seat is broken also. The microwave dosnt work and the fridge dosnt get cold enough! If you want the Hawaiian experience this is truly it , but for 1 night this was just awful . There is also alot of random garbage looking out the windows in the room and on the way to the tub that should be picked up. I also have like 50 photos of the place and everything wrong with it and this will not let me upload them all! So this is only showing you a preview!

There was coffee and a coffee maker. What we really loved was that you walked from the parking through a rain forest pathway about 75 feet, to a cabin with a lot of handmade touches, like the door handle. The instructions supplied were very clear and excellent.

No bathmat, so we had to use a hand towel.

A couple of minutes from the National Park so it was super convenient. Felt like I was in the rain forest.

The dehumidifier did not work and you felt it, but livable.

Ferns on grounds were beautiful. Love the jungle feel! Appreciated that they provided coffee and water and an early check in. Room was clean.

Manager was not helpful when we had an issue getting hot tub to come on. We tried EVERYTHING, even texted her a video of the blank worn buttons not responding. It was cold, dirty, old & had No power at all. Her response was “its always on..” “the cleaner might still be there if you want to ask her” there was no one on the property. Our problem was we stayed here FOR the hot tub as it was a romantic anniversary weekend for us. And we got no assistance in resolving this issue. So yes, Im Highy disappointed. Grounds had multiple busted solar path lights. These are necessary to see the path to get to the unit. Room needs some updating. Theres no bath mat so you have to use one of your two towels provided to stand on when exiting shower. Certain things need updating. Like small holes in walls and mold on ceiling. Corner Windows need sealed better. Condensation on windows was awful in the am, with the tiny dehumidifier they provided on. (Provide a squeegee) Hot tub and cover need replaced if their going to “Advertise” hot tub accessibility. My husband and I think its not worth the $180 a night. I wouldn’t pay more than $100. We have been in the property management business on this island for a long time. Even been super hosts on Air bnb. So we have first hand experience.

Very comfortable bed and amazing rainforest views! Room has a microwave and mini fridge.

The water is not drinkable - they provide water in a 5 gallon container for your use. If you want cold water plan ahead and bring some water bottles. This isn't necessarily a negative, just something to be aware of.

The bathroom fan didn't work which added to the humidity and the dehumidifier provided was very inefficient. This all meant that towels were constantly damp and the whole room was clammy. Crockery and cutlery were minimal.
