Really nice house with views of the valley. Great for hiking base.

Excellent location for hikers. Vallehermoso is a pleasant town about 25 mins down the hill and we walked down for dinner a few times. The beds and bedding were very comfortable. The house was very clean and has enough supplies to cook and do laundry. Very quiet and can see the stars clearly at night. There is an allotted parking space down the road (see the house's Instagram or Google Street View).

This is a Casa Rurales accommodation and should be treated as such. The internet was based on phone service and was unreliable. It disconnected devices regularly. We suffered two outages during our stay. As other reviewers have said, the stairs up to the house are challenging - 23 stairs and they were slippery. Hard to carry luggage up. Note that the house is on a narrow two-way road that can't fit two cars in most places and requires nearly a 180 turn. The house was cold in winter and has no heating. We asked the host about this and got no response. The toilet seat was unhinged the whole time we were there. The host was slow at responding, said they would replace it in a day or two, but ultimately it was just broken the whole 12 days we were there. Also, worms got into the house due to rain and the house isn't well insulated. The house lights are dim so it was hard to read.

Beautiful location (bit of a walk from town). Lovely views from the living room. Very comfortable beds. Really restful place. They left us fruit and water when we arrived. There was a problem with our electricity. They came to fix it immediately and the next day gave us a bottle of wine and biscuits 🙂

The water took a while to drain from the shower.

An architect designed, beautiful house, combining the original stone walls with glass and wood. Fantastic views from the picture windows and a lovely small garden where you can relax and enjoy it all. The host is very kind and helpful. Many small touches to make your stay enjoyable, like a Nespresso coffee maker, detergent for the washing machine, and more. We recommend highly.
