Spacious Studio with Free Parking West Molesey KT8

Location was good for me.

TV options were pretty limited

It was a very lovely little studio,a real home from Home that had everything I needed. The bed was unbelievably comfortable! And the bedding was lovely and soft - it really makes a difference! Mera was on hand and very friendly.

Nothing. Any minor issues were dealt with immediately. Nothing was too much trouble.

The only good thing about this place was leaving it behind!!

It didn’t start well with me being informed that I couldn’t check in at 4 as it was a public holiday & it was just after the weekend. Perhaps I’m mistaken, but I thought that weekends happen every week & usually public holidays are known well in advance!! I was told that it would be a couple of hours before I could enter the property to allow time for cleaning. Having been told I could leave my bags, on entering the property, I was pretty disgusted with the state of the place, however, knowing that the cleaners were due, I went for a walk to Hampton Court Palace. I had had a long drive, it was a warm day & I was tired but, I allowed a couple of hours before walking back to the property. On returning, I was surprised that the cleaners were still cleaning………although I say ‘cleaning’ in the loosest sense of the word as they gave the property a quick swish with a wet cloth & mop, put crockery which had been lying around in the kitchen back in the cupboards & left without leaving any towels; I chased after them & was given towels which were still damp!! After reading the property description “This stylish flat, offering a serene garden view, is the ideal home-away-from-home for your next trip”, I was expecting a lovely airy space & instead found a squalid bedsit that looked as if it had just been vacated & hadn’t seen a mop for at least 6 months!! I wondered if there was concern for my shoes after being informed to remove them before entering the property!! I have stayed in 5 star hotels & have never been asked to remove my shoes before!! Although I had paid in full prior to travelling from my home in Australia, I decided that I couldn’t stay in this disgusting property & booked into the Premier Inn in Kingston.

Clean and convenient

I would have preferred it if it was possible to open the French window. I could have got out through the window in the event of a fire but I would have liked to sit at the garden table in the hot weather

I liked the location as it was near the river and I am familiar with the area.

The place was not clean or not cleaned properly, there were handprints on the mirror wardrobe doors,balls of dust in the corners, kitchen floor clearly not cleaned. Kitchen surfaces sticky, cupboards and drawers seems never seen adeep cleean. Mirror in the bathroom was with splash marks, toilet was dirty and seat wasn't cleaned. Overall it gave an impression that somebody was living there and then left and then only bed sheets were changed. The bathroom stank of heavy cigarette odour for few days, so we had to keep window open all the time on freezing days. We also found wet loundry in the washing machine still wet when we wanted to wash our clothes few days later after arrival. After we arrived the landlord decided to visit the property to introduce a cleaning team. Which was a bit awkward as it maybe should be done between the guest visits? When my partner pointed out that it is not cleand to a decent standards, they suggested to clean, but we did not want to be disturbed on our first morning in the property. The property is good size and definitely would benefit with less random furniture in small space as it felt cluttered, also a choice of foldable garden furniture indoors is also interesting choice as it is neither stylish,nor comfortable. Also at the end of the stay we have received a message with a reminder for check out time which was earlier that noted on the booking add. We were allowed to stay longer as advertised when I pointed that out, but if felt very unwelcome. So I would say maybe there is lots of space for improvement!
