Peace and quiet

Did not receive arrival information until 30 minutes after arriving despite contacting them via booking.com and phoning. The area around the hut is tatty and unkempt. The fridge is very small and the tiny ice box badly iced up. Couldn't self cater as no way to keep more than a tiny amount in the fridge. The shower, as.mentioned in many reviews is dreadful, alternating every few seconds between very hot and very cold despite trying numerous settings.

The peace and quiet and privacy

The hosts did not furnish us with arrival details until 30 minutes after we arrived and then only after we had sent endless messages. In fact we never saw them at all. The shower, as mentioned by several people previously, was very temperamental, going from hot to cold constantly. The fridge was tiny and the ice box almost completely iced up. The farmyard was very unkempt, giving a view from the hut of dilapidated outbuildings and a partly concreted area overrun with weeds. There was however a pleasant small grassed area in the corner with table and benches.

Peaceful it was all as listed felt relaxed great for our dog private A fan could be a good idea in the summer as very hot inside 🥵😎

No dislikes

The location was good, but unfortunately, the village has no shops; you need to bring food with you before arriving. The hut did have some milk and snacks which was a thoughtful gesture. The hut overlooked a lovely bucolic setting. The hut had everything you would need, whether in the summer or winter months.

It would have been welcoming if the owner came out to greet the guests as they arrived.

There wasn’t anything we didn’t like. It was perfect

The Hut was very clean and cosy, and we loved our stay there. The area was beautiful, the view from Lookout spectacular. The hosts were friendly and helpful. The Hut had everything we needed. It was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. We loved the little basket of treats. The hens are cute. 10 out of 10. We will be back.

Nothing to complain about

I liked everything about this lovely wee shepherd’s hut… amazing use use of a small space, so that I didn’t feel at all cramped . Anything you could need has been provided, decorated to a high standard and spotlessly clean. Options for outdoor seating too… a hidden gem of a place!

A lovely corner in the countryside! All the necessary amenities available, clear instructions and suggestions, and spotless clean.
