Mango Villa - Panama Near Arugam Bay

Good value for money. Breakfast was good and host nice. They also prepared a good dinner for a fair price. Welcome drinks is a bonus.

Be aware, "aircon" is in supplement (5000). One of the room doesn't have a real aircon, just a big fan but has a mosquito net. A bit hard to communicate sometimes but host is nice. One of the room is better than the other

During our two months in Sri Lanka and despite 5 days of straight rain, this was our favourite stay. The road to Panama was a safari in itself, with a 2.5 meter monitor lizard, crocodile ponds, scores of gray langurs and stunning views. We visited outside the tourist season so we were the only tourists in the village, which sports some lovely beaches, a lake with many crocodiles, charming rice fields and lagoons, friendly locals, affordable local restaurants and good access to the Kumana national park. The room is charming and clean and had everything we needed (though if you are very attached to hot showers you won't find one here). What made the stay so special though was the wonderful family who runs it. Their hospitality is genuine and our walks in the neighbourhood and evening talks thought us so much. Their cooking is fantastic, with many ingredients from their own garden and including original Sri Lankan dishes you won't find on any restaurant menu. It is people who live from their heart like them that form the true treasure of Sri Lanka. The only problem with this place is that if you spend too much time here, you don't want to leave anymore.

The host was very polite and welcoming. Did everything for you to feel welcomed. We had a great stay for the sorrt time we stayed there. Huge plus, she could cook very well!

Really lovely family, very welcoming. A beautiful home and garden. Very peaceful. The son took me on a walk in evening to lagoon to look for elephants. Saw lots of native birdlife and water buffalo. The mother cooked me a lovely dinner of hopper and lentil dahl . Made lovely masala tea and served fresh lemon juice on arrival

A little isolated. I needed to be closer to Arugam Bay to sort my travel arrangements.

We had a lovely time with local family. The room is very clean, the family is very kind and helpful. The lady is a wonderful cook. It is a good place for Kumana safari,Kudumbigala monastery, walk on wild Panama beach, swim or surf at Panama surf point or Elephant rock.

Really nice place, with exceptional hospitality. The hosts were so kind and cooked such good food. It was in a great location, away from tourist areas with a great beach not far. Would recommend

Lovely and quite villa, the hotress and the brother are very friendly and willing to help.

The whole place feels loved and looked after, I would totally recommend this place to peace lovers.
