Stunning Sea Views @ The Lido Lounge

Great location overlooking the iconic Lido, so easy to walk into town or the beaches, such as Botany Bay. Bedroom on the rear so quieter for any passing traffic from the road at the front. Sea views are stunning. Apartment is surprisingly spacious for a 1 bedroom flat, and even on the hottest night of the year was cool, even though you are right in the roof. Amazingly got a space right outside the terrace, and parking is currently free with no time limits on the immediate streets. Tea, coffee and some milk in the fridge on arrival made it very welcome. There's a big Aldi just round the corner as well, and kitchen really well equipped if you want to eat in.

Hallway and stairs a a bit grim but don't be put off as the flat is lovely (there are quite a few stairs as on the top of the terrace, so this isn't a great one for people with mobility issues). The TV is via a wifi-connected free-view box and buffers quite a bit on things like iplayer, but the wifi in the flat was good.

The apartment itself is nicely done, it had a nice see view and has a nice fitting.

The area directly surrounding the property made us feel very unsafe and uncomfortable, this was at 3 pm, we only could imagine how it would be in the night. We felt so uncomfortable that we decided not to stay in this place even though we paid for it. We asked for a refund but the owner was unwilling to give us a (partial) refund because researching the neighbourhood was our responsibility they said. One other note: the apartment is on the top floor and there is not lift available.

As advertised the views over the sea are lovely as you are on the top floor of the building, even if the windows could use a bit of cleaning (seagulls!). It's conveniently located just a short walk from the Turner Museum and only a 10-minute stroll to the charming old town. The apartment itself is neat and tastefully decorated, equipped with all the essentials for a comfortable short stay. A nice bathroom featuring both a handheld and an overhead shower. Parking was not an issue as you can find space close by without paying.

The entrance and hallway leading to the apartment could use some improvement, as the stairs are quite narrow and lead up to No.13 at the top of the building, (This is not down to the owners and isn’t reflective of the apartment itself). While the phone signal is decent, the TV signal can be quite frustrating due to frequent buffering issues. In the bedroom, space is limited, with the bed pushed against the wall, leaving little room to put a cup of tea etc. Additionally, there isn't much space to lay out clothing; although there is a hanging rack in the living room, it doesn't provide enough storage. It would also be beneficial if the shutters extended to the top of the windows, as the early morning light can be quite disruptive. A simple solution could be to place a piece of board or covering at the top of the shutters to block out some of that light.

Great location, super clean and tidy and really stunning views

Couldn’t fault it - only comment would maybe be to let people know it’s on the very top floor and quite a few stairs to climb (wasn’t an issue for us but may be for some people). The hallway / stairwell is very well lived in and isn’t reflective of the apartment itself.
