Hotel Mewar Haveli - At Lake Pichola

The best daal makhani in India! Must try the food in the restaurant - amazing location and also great view in udaipur! The staff were friendly and always accommodated to our needs - helping with luggage and organising transport needs etc.

It was extremely noisy up until 3am and then again at 7am from the other hotel guests. I think the noise issue can be better managed by the staff. As such, we didn’t sleep very well which was frustrating.

The staff was excellent and very supportive. I would mention that I checked out earlier than planned and even though the booking was non refundable, the management was very thoughtful and refunded the remaining amount still. Location was great next to the lake.

Sheets had stains, walls had large marks which should have been painted. Toilet was smelling and filled with mold patches. The reason we checked out earlier than planned was the noise insulation- it was non existent and we could hear every sound, conversation in every room, making it very hard to sleep. The property could benefit from a serious improvement in deep cleaning and sound proofing.

Perfect hotel ! Actually one of my best of my trip ! The service was wonderful, we’ve been treated like ministers into their 5stars hotel ! A personal very kind, helpful, present and a very beautiful hotel that are a veritable peace of art : a museum ! Every floor has handmade art in mewar style, that’s crazy ! And the rooftop is just amazing

I have to say that the only thing little dnit disapointed is to not have the breakfast on the rooftop outside !

Location & staff

It was a wonderful time and experience. The staff were so sweet snd helpful, really went out of their way to make things more pleasant for us. The showers were lovely and warm and we had all the coffee and iced tea we could drink. The owner had great contact for tours or getting to the airport. Took all the brain damage out of trying to figure things out. I would come here again and send all our friends. Truly a great bargain and a beautiful place!

I would gave liked softer pillows and a pad on the bench. Small things.

Well located in the older section of Udaipur close to Lal Ghat & Ganganour Ghat. Hotel staff are very good; rooftop dining is great

Again, like other hotels Mewar Haveli have ceased accepting credit cards as a result of the cost over the COVID period; an ATM is 50m away

Everything was very satisfactory. Especially their rooftop restaurant and food. However, we were not happy with the size of the room. Also, we were expecting the room with 1 extra-large double bed and 1 futon bed but we got only 1 large double bed.So make sure before booking which option you are getting.

Excellent service of warm and welcoming staff. I wanted to host a small bridal shower and the staff went above and beyond to make it special. They took care of our transport, helped us get around and took care of all our needs. The room was comfortable and clean and centrally located. The food was as delicious. Better than many places I have tried in lal gaht. Will definitely return to Hotel Mewar Haveli.
